The Democrat Party is built to be in power, so they maintain discipline when they're out of power to be able to build a base for getting things done when they're back in power. The Republican Party is built to be out of power, so members have a lot more leeway to be able to do what they want, as discipline doesn't do much for your when you don't have a majority.

The bitch is in the wording. His screenshot says 53% prefer private over gibsmedat healthcare and yours say 57% say the government should make sure Americans have healthcare coverage.
Same poll, so assuming bias is the same, that 12% (43% for healthcare by the government and also 57% saying the government should do something about it think they need to fix their shit and also not take it over.
Maybe learn to read a poll. Repeal Obamacare is for sure part of that 12% and maybe most of it.

It doesn't make sense that the party designed to take a dive has a less disciplined structure. There would have to be a mechanism to snuff out the populists who don't intend to go along with losing. It's literally in the human and animal mentality to compete and win, and after 50+ years it is not believable to me that the party designed to lose believably has a wild west discipline structure. It takes practice and experience to execute convincingly, and both concepts are indications of discipline. It's also not believable to me that people powerful enough to control the US government unseen are too incompetent to think of it before Trump came along.
Going along with winning is easy. Going along with losing is not.

When you belong to a minority party, the only way you have any value is via your ability to solicit donations regardless of whether or not your party's in the majority. This means you need to achieve seniority, get plum committee assignments, and be able to get riders you donors like on bills the majority party is working on. This necessarily requires you to build a base around you, personally, rather than the party as such, and doing that requires a measure of independence - Susan Collins annoys the party almost as much as Rand Paul does, but her Maine donors love her, so it doesn't matter. Mitch McConnell's a great example of this - didn't matter if the Republicans had a majority or not, for decades, he's built up important relationships with critical donors in the state of Kentucky and kept them happy, while they've made him a rich man and poured money into party coffers as thanks. Donors don't care who wins. They only care if pork with their name on it gets into a spending bill.
That mechanism was historically denying them committee assignments. If you don't get on a good committee, then you provide your donors no value as a member of the minority party, and there's no sinecure lined up for you when you inevitably lose your seat or retire. The problem is now there are a handful of people who just don't give a shit, they have secure seats and nothing to lose. MTG and Lauren Boebert in particular are just crazy bitches.
