Democratic Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar was carjacked at gunpoint Monday night near his residence in the Navy Yard area of Washington, D.C. just blocks from the Capitol.
An alert sent to congressional members stated three to four men held guns to his head and took his car and phone, sources told ABC News.
Cuellar's chief of staff, Jacob Hochberg, confirmed the carjacking news in a statement to ABC News late Monday night.
“As Congressman Cuellar was parking his car this evening, 3 armed assailants approached the Congressman and stole his vehicle. Luckily, he was not harmed and is working with local law enforcement. Thank you to Metro PD and Capitol Police for their swift action and for recovering the Congressman’s vehicle,” his statement read.
>Hochul’s comments come fewer than two weeks after she told CNN, “You have to ensure that we can also have controls at the borders and not welcome even more people to come who think they’re going to come for the job.”
Bitch, weren't YOU the one that GAVE them the fucking jobs in the first place!?!?

Bill Clinton complaining about the illegals in NYC. Go fuck yourself. Die very slowly.
Boo fucking Hoo. Billy boy, you sowed the seeds of this issue. Now you're reaping the rewards for it.
Republics and Democracy only works when violence is commonplace by the voterbase, politicians have no compulsion to follow what the voters say in the US because what will happen if they do or do not do what voters want? Very often it is far more lucrative to do the total opposite. In a society that violently lashes out the politicians tend to be more willing to follow the directives of the people, after McKinley got assassinated he was replaced by the far more active Theodore Roosevelt who was endlessly working policy that benefit the common citizen. Until Americans start frequently spazzing out like they did during the George Floyd riots, Jan 6th, or 1970s with the bombings you wont see much change in society. The security apparatus of most western nations go out of their way to ensure that collective action is almost impossible for a reason, things like the Bundy Ranch stand off is exactly what they do not want to happen, not only did the Federal government get run off from stealing Bundy's assets, they lost the overwhelming advantage of making the Bundy family paupers by taking those assets, leading to the government getting fucking smoked in court. Police can only function by being the uncontested hunter and the individual the prey, the moment this dynamic is inverted any government suddenly becomes quick to parley and negotiate least they lose even more power. At this point I'm starting to believe that Republics don't exist, and they're merely a form of Benevolent Oligarchy - Much like how a dictatorship can be genuinely incredible with the right leader of the right attitude. But once they're replaced with someone who has the exact same powers but not the morals or ethics, the whole thing starts to fail. A republic is just an Oligarchy that genuinely listens to its people.
Or maybe any government is only as good as the people who make it up and a corrupt republic is just as bad as a corrupt dictatorship. At this point I'm starting to believe that Republics don't exist, and they're merely a form of Benevolent Oligarchy - Much like how a dictatorship can be genuinely incredible with the right leader of the right attitude. Lol, at least I'm not completely off the reservation then. This is an observation that has been noted before by German-born Italian Sociologist Robert Michels in the political theory of the "iron law of oligarchy" that asserts rule by an elite, or oligarchy, is inevitable as an "iron law" within any democratic organization as part of the "tactical and technical necessities" of the organization. There is also elite theory which basically posits that a small minority holds the most power no matter what regardless of democratic elections.
Not surprising, y'all spent nearly a century now absolutely terrified of the possibility of applying violence for 'the wrong reasons', and started looking to that political class for 'the right reasons' to do it. Political violence in of itself only really works when its well targeted - Everyone needs to understand and at least mostly agree that the guy who just got mobbed by his electorate fucked up on X political matter, and that as long as you aren't that bad, you're fine. Otherwise you rapidly descend into a might makes right rule of the most violent leading the show.tldr; Americans have forgotten to suspend the Sword of Damocles over the head of politicians for a very long time
Are you thinking of my post from Yesterday? The Supreme Court didn't do shit, they just declined to hear the case, and so the district court ruling was upheld:The Supreme Court has struck down at least 1 state's attempt to do that.
Don't tell Null, or he might like Trump again.I'm imagining all that McDonald's is for him alone and he's just scarfing down burgers like he's making a mukbang video
Obviously any pound of flesh the Democrats get from him will be done in private. If he's a GOPe RINO they wouldn't even need to talk to him. He knows the score.Vote to oust McCarthy as House Speaker will move forward to take place today. No speaker has ever been removed from office through a motion to vacate, Democrats are currently reserved about the whole affair, Gaetz and his allies are but a political minority in the House, and McCarthy remains optimistic. There is no consensus at this time on who should be the new House Speaker should McCarthy be removed. McCarthy also doesn't want any help from Democrats to save him apparently and they haven't asked for anything regarding such a move which is intriguing.
Any attempt to get rid of the current House Speaker would need somehow a large amount of Republican support which is unlikely. If the Democratic Party wanted to gamble and take a risk they could choose to give the dissident members of the Republican Party the simple majority they need but the chance of this happening is probably pretty low.
The cynical political theater outcome here is that the vote would be put forth, get little support and anticlimactically then just be a thing that occurred.
Well if one assumes all parties are being honest with their statements (there is a high chance they aren't) and don't change the course they could look to take advantage of the chaos. The Republicans have no clearly indicated successor to McCarthy which would indicate if he is voted out there would be another long series of votes to pick a new Speaker. History has also shown us in this Congress alone that there are Republicans that have great disdain for the populist faction of their party. The dems might have liked to vote to remove him, but the fact is any replacement has a much higher chance of being worse for them. The real point here is the GOP and how many people might turn, vacating him could be popular with voters but we all know these people don't give a shit about the voters.
Mitch hitting his head and becoming retarded was a death sentence to Rinos. They need to accept the fact that the RNC belongs to Trump and Maga now.McCarthy is such an idiot, all he has to do is ensure no more Ukraine votes, and fund the border. He can get away with not stripping the DOJ of funding on the Trump witch hunt if he does this. Everything he's going through is his own fault, all he had to do was honor his promises.
What this McCarthy thing hides is the revelation last week that McConnell basically lost control of the house minority leader status behind the scenes, Thune is the defacto leader (still a RINO but can read the anti-ukraine resentment better). The senate will get the blame, not the house, stop being a faggot.
They never will. They would rather loose everything but have a small shitpile that they are the king of while everything else burns.Mitch hitting his head and becoming retarded was a death sentence to Rinos. They need to accept the fact that the RNC belongs to Trump and Maga now.
