According to a techraptor article that uses an email from Twitch via Alex as a source that they state they can't independently verify (from Febuary 2017)(Archive):

Four items were listed as reasons for the game being banned from the service at the time it was reviewed. First, two gameplay modes were considered as depicting characters in the nude. Secondly, a mechanic where the player takes panty shots (that is, photos of a woman's underwear underneath her skirt) to use as a sort of blackmail currency in the game. After that, they stated that they took issue with the only way to eliminate rivals was through murder. Finally, they stated that the "setting, intent of gameplay, and age of victims" indicated that the game was about violence and sexual harassment of underage children.

TL;DR - Twitch was unhappy with the murder, nudity and pantyshots of minors. The email Alex shows in this video seems to support this version of events.

Twitch bans a game if users are reporting the game.
A group of people spammed Twitch with reports about Yandere Sim, saying "This game should be banned!"
Twitch, knowing nothing about Yandere Sim, presumed that it was a porn game, so they decided to just ban the game.
When I contacted Twitch and said "Why is Yandere Sim banned?" they had no answer to provide me. They didn't ban the game for any valid reason; they just banned it because they were getting reports about it.
There is no authority above Twitch that has to hold Twitch accountable for their actions and force them to reverse their mistakes, so Yandere Sim remains banned on Twitch for no good reason.

TL;DR - Those darn gremlins got involved and Twitch is full of incompetents or gremlins.

Naturally, Alex can't help but change the story to make it as if he was always a good boy who did nothing wrong. Assuming the email Alex shows is genuine, the 2017 version of events is much more accurate.

Crazy how my post was almost the same as their response verbatim despise having never seen it. Shows how obvious of issues these things are, yet Alex refuses to "bend the knee" to the libs by removing panty shots despite his own fan base wanting it removed. No matter how many disclaimers Alex puts in the game saying that the characters aren't minors, it's not going to work because it's very clearly meant to be a high school. With the changeover to the new month, the Patreon fell to its lowest point since Graphtreon started tracking Alex. This value was $1,640. Naturally it recovered once a few returned to the fold, but it will likely drop to a similarly low or lower value next month barring "divine" intervention.

The Discord server remains more or less unchanged from the last mention of it. The last update to anything public was in May, but is labeled March. It's that one message about "If you don't like the hair models, make one for me for free and maybe I'll use it".

I also love how he keeps calling it 'harrassment'. I'm no expert in semantics but wouldn't harrassing someone be things like non-stop spamming someone with messages and phonecalls, coming to thier house and threatening them, etc.?
