We've been met with silence from each. We also have a habit of encountering vegan supremacists who will equate animals bred and slaughtered for profit with zoosadism because they see us as rivals in the activism space. I understand most people have an intellectual knowledge of how corrupt the world is, but when you see it for yourself and the kind of evil it enables it is no wonder many advocates burn out.

Some of you may have heard by now. Qingtian/Sunny, one of the network's core members, has been exposed and detained thanks to the efforts of dozens of Chinese volunteers over the past two years. I've seen some of his videos myself. Rotting in a Chinese political prison for the rest of his life would be a spa day compared to what he deserves.
Two out of the network's three "Dark Lords" are now in custody. Only Peng Xiang is left. Information below.
The noose has been tightening around Aimao for the better part of the year. It's only a matter of time until the network is dust and we're forced to wait for the next iteration.

But as excited as I want to be about the bastard being caught, what are the chances that he'll go to prison over what he did? Given the lack of an animal welfare law in China, what are they trying him with? I really want this worthless pos to rot in a cell forever (actually, I want much worse for him), but I'm really worried that he'll be out in a month and happily back to torturing.
As an aside, I'm surprised that these people can't be taken out with laws on obscenity or along the lines of corrupting/harming society. You would think that depraved acts like that would be seen as disruptive by the CN authorities even if they don’t care about the animals per se.

They're aiming to get him charged with a political crime since he's been known to post anti-government content much like the rest of the core group. There are too many eyes on this case for him to walk and resume offending. The Chinese know how to game the system, and Yao's indefinite detention is proof of it. Even if he walks you can see him mortified in the video where he's confronted by volunteers. He's not some grizzled killer. He's a submissive loser.
Aimao's careful not to distribute CSAM, and they keep their torture videos circulating within their groups and the activist space instead of plastering them everywhere for the public to see, though there have been exceptions. All that's left now is waiting for a hat trick with PX's dox & arrest.

I just came across a comment on Reddit saying that Sunny has already been released again. Is it true? Is the bastard just getting off the hook? My guess is this will only embolden the torturers of not even anti-government crimes can get them into trouble,
