The animation looks alright, but there is something about it that's a little off-putting. I just don't know what it is--might be the lack of depth of field with the animation being all in the foreground, characters are just rarely overlapping with each other and other objects to convey that illusion.
That's usually the case for cheap Flash animation.

nuPPG is terrible. They actually got a writer on-board who wrote himself into the show as one of the main characters' boyfriends. The main characters are all little girls, by the way. He even voices his self-insert as if it wasn't obvious enough what he's trying to do. He also worked on an episode where some of the main characters twerk out of nowhere.

They're canonically five fucking years old. How do you let a depraved pervert like that on staff when they're that openly a degenerate?

There's a saying in the animation industry- Everyone's got their kinks.

Some are just more open (and depraved) about it than others.

I dunno, CN let Rebecca Sugar make her own show. They don't really seem to care.

Even without the other degeneracy I just learned about today, the meme-puking tryharding was already enough reason not to watch this remake.

Please excuse me while I go bury what remains of my childhood now that it finally keeled over upon learning a childhood hero has been deflowered.

I knew from experience this show was always shite - a divine middle finger to the original effort (whose first four seasons at most still do hold up, at least IMHO.), helmed by people jealous of Social Justice Universe. Knowing this is out there in the open, existing for all to find out - only makes everything worse, besides people out there warming up to this sad and pathetic excuse of a "show"!

It's shadbase levels of creepy, or maybe even worse since it's "canon." The other people on the show are apparently okay with this shit.

I just have to ask: Was he the one who designed this character? Typically, characters aren't physically described in a script outside of vague descriptions unless something about their physical appearance is important. If he's nothing more than just a writer, the character looking exactly like Jake Goldman has to either be a cruel prank by someone on the animation team, or he really and truly designed him and everyone just went along with it.

Here's Jake's Twitter. And it looks like he's not part of the animation team judging by this Tweet:

He voices the character who looks exactly like him that he ships with his child waifu too. The character ONLY shows up in episodes he writes.
