Nobody gives a fuck about Richard Spencer. A decade ago he was popular enough to host events and get a following for stuff that really wasn’t cutting-edge or interesting. Shit, back then that’s why people disliked him; he was a pompous trust fund recipient and he used his resources at the time (he basically had more money than anyone) to create a social club where he was Big Swinging Dick Spencer. Plus he pulled white power alt-girl groupie chicks which made me and (I am sure) many other people jealous.

Fast forward and he’s old and fat and he burned up all his goodwill by being a smug asshole. He doesn’t even have a legacy; the current iteration of the white power movement does not look anything like the pseudo-country club, polite and polished flashy haircut button-up shirt version of white nationalism he was going for. Maybe his only lasting contribution is some early connections between white nationalists that were made at his events.

I liked the latest episode and feel like the awkward pacing is kind of the point.

Emily Youcis seems to make very strange outsider art that is a little uncomfortable to watch. That this has intersected with slightly more conventional humour in the first episode I think has made people think that's what it is. Whilst episode 4 has continued trucking on through the weird lands. His date just randomly sitting there and the slowly growing horror of Jamal watching the tacos be eaten, over and over and over and over... *shudder* Well I enjoyed it!

I suspect Will Stancil did not. Is he pretending not to watch it, or does he admit it?
