Will, nobody on Bluesky gives even a tenth of a fuck about the truth, good policies, or winning elections. They are on that site to score Internet Points, and the way you do that is with dunks and hot takes. If that means deliberately misrepresenting someone else's statements, they will happily do so, especially if the target is someone with less izzat than them.
Ironically, this is Will acting like a pre-Trump, Paul Ryan-esque Republican. It’s curious that he has the same blind spot that they did; namely that he thinks that good macroeconomic must translate into positive effects for everyone when it is entirely possible that that performances may not be evenly distributed. Put that as another data point in “Will refuses to give up his glory days in the Obama Era.” Just… in the other direction.

It's like watching an addict. You can see that he knows that what he is doing is hurting himself, and yet he can't stop doing it. He wants the high more than doesn't want the corresponding crash, even after anything resembling a high is gone due to abuse of the drug. You can't save someone from themselves.
