I am painting up some terrain. Its indoor spaceship so all metallics. I have Vallejo metal colour exhaust manifold, steel and dark aluminum to use. I also have a copper and chrome on hand but very unlikely to be used. Big ass bottles so should get some mileage.

The problem I have is, black wash. Whats the most cost effective black wash out there youd recommend? No way im buying a bunch of nuln oils.
Tube of oil paint and some mineral spirits to thin it. Add a little brown to tweak the tone if you want, but thinned out ivory black already has a slightly more brown undertone than mars black anyway. It'll take longer to dry than an acrylic wash, but it'll also cost a hell of a lot less for the amount you end up with.

In some versions of the lore, didn't some guy have the sisters as his personal harem?

Ugly sisters I put down to primitive sculpts. And in recent times, wokeshit.
Goge Van Dire during the age of apostacy(m35, something like that?) before they were the sisters of battle. Then it was decreed the church couldn't have men at arms, so then they went "lol, rules as written we can have women at arms".

And while there are groups within the sisters like the order hospitaller that don't really go into combat directly(some of them do still get into some shit when medical facilities get attacked) the idea that a bunch of battle hardened women that train for combat all the time and get beat to shit, somehow look like a bunch of supermodels at the same time is fucking dumb, and that's before any end up with bionics(I guess there's people into that), Just like the average space marine seems like their head is made out of 25% scar tissue unless they're fresh off the line.

You can't really blame them though.
Yes you can, they're grifting faggot tourists and secondaries. Nothing was stopping them from going out and finding a copy to flip through, nor is it a long or difficult read for them(well, maybe some of them like the quartering).

They are notoriously lore inaccurate with things like a Skaven that dosn't worship the great horned rat and prefers working with humans rather than fellow rats.
Now that is fucking retarded, but it's also basically AOS lore from 6 years ago or whatever at this point.

Vallejo black and other more core washes/FX paints like grey, sepia and rust are available for under 10 bucks for 35ml bottles, that's double the amount of Nuln oil for the same price.
Oil washes are also good and cheap but need their prep and cleanup, I don't think its hard but YMMV. Mixing your own acrylic washes is also possible and worth it if you're just doing mass amounts of terrain

Claws of the Genestealer by Cavan Scott

Our hero's are still stranded on the icehole. The kids are doing pretty well all things considered, what with the Monkey constantly building everything they need to survive. (and rolling his eyes every time they need something else from him. ) Boldly, Talen tries to get a baby alien boar for dinner before mama drives his ass into a sinkhole and he breaks his arm out of its socket. Warhammer For kids! (he takes it pretty well honestly)

Then he gets knocked out and put in a cave on what I presume is a genestealer buffet table with another animal. (im gonna excuse its behavior by it being alone in the cold and liking its food alive) POC has to save his ass with a grappling hook, they still don't know what knocked out Talen.

They get back to base camp and then things get interesting. The monkey is out of action, he's gone into hibernation from the extreme cold. So the kids are on their own for most of this. Talen acts like a model imperial citizen and gives everybody shit for their optimism and desire to respect the monkey. Angrily dooming about the situation as they are running out of power and are seemingly screwed. then the cog boy gets pissed off at Zelia POC for ordering him around and sulks off into the cold... right into the genestealer.

I love how they don't really explain what the hell it is to the kids. They have a vague notion that it's evil and that's enough. They get lucky, really really lucky. But even with all that luck this thing can still tear though doors like paper and apparently hypnotize them if they look at it too long. In the face of that even Zelia is like, "ok im willing to bash this things face in with a wrench." Using monkey shield technology they trap it for maybe 20 mins.

They then manage to wake up the monkey for a little bit using the cogboy, but the cold screwed him up bad.
We get his backstory, and its pretty sad. Dude was caged up when the necrons attacked, and his master left him to fend for himself before being blown up in the sky. He's also been hiding the location of a crashed imperial ship in the woods from the kids. gotta love that. So they go over there and just assume everything is gonna be hunky dory.

shit shit shit shit!

They wake up the engines and unthaw a shit ton of them. Even get bits of a doomed captains log.
("did the crew survive?'
.....
" Nevermind I dont want to know" Gotta love it)

Monkey saves their asses again with a imperial gravity gun (that's a thing? Talen found it in an armory). Im noticing a pattern and im kinda loving it. Especially when the girl tries to hug him and he pushes her away. They are starting to grow on him, but he's a delightful dick at times. They manage to get out of dodge and bury the stealers in ice, before an inquisitor comes down to see them. roll credits

What can I say its fun. Art even got a little better, or at least less memeable.

Half of this books entertainment is finding all the hidden implications kids wouldn't get.
Was he blonde?
White hair funny enough

imperial gravity gun
Yeah, definitely a thing. just usually much rarer in 40k compared to 30k.

I hope you go through the rest, this is why I posted the first one so people can just read the shit themselves instead of just relying on the grifting faggots. Arch, Gamza, TheOuterCircle, TheQuartering, the entirety of the group that does the podcast with the screwattack guy, etc. they're all grifting faggots. Even for the femstodes shit, they wouldn't have known about it unless someone looked into it and posted the crap from the books for them(they actually found it on reddit of all places) since they're all tourists, secondaries, and burnt out grifters.
