I'm actively hoping that a Trump victory will cause such a Scarborough sperg out that he quits his show and becomes that guy with the long hair and beard yelling incoherently at random passers-by that "The End is Nigh!"

(Seriously, his act has played itself out.)

American worker right's have seriously degraded in the last decade. If you are poor, they absolutely could pull something on you, and unless you are educated enough to catch it and have access to a lawyer you can afford or who will agree to hear you, you're screwed. Many of these people are so tired from overwork they would not even bother.
Not only that, but a lot of so-called "union" companies have started to behave worse than their non-union counterparts. They are full of people who love to powertrip and completely throw out the union rulebook when they become comfortable. It has bred a discouraging atmosphere for young people who are trying to become new workers especially, having to be on the receiving end of mistreatment and horseshit because the jaded members of Gen X and millenials went through that. God forbid they have to break a cycle and treat people better for a change. Workers rights all over the board are fucked right now.

I'm pretty sure your job can't just you know, fire you if you say you were late because you were in line to vote. at least in my state they're required to let you vote without punishment
Not direct punishment but a lot of states don't require you to pay them. Under the strongest economy in history™️ some people can't afford a couple hours of cut pay.

>the big day arrives. anxiety and tension are at their highest
>slobbermutt arrives in our chudbox with the sole intention to rustle our jimmies
>our jimmies get rustled
>many chuckles were had

i don’t understand you people. lets get back to posting unsubstantiated screenshots of people on twitter claiming they totally have the inside scoop and its totally over/we‘re truly back.

Even if Trump wins and even if Congress goes red, it means nothing if people aren't willing to cudgel and prod their congressmen to do the right thing. protesting and social pressure should be a thing for all congressmen's offices nation wide on a federal and state level. Make it clear to the greatest extent it's legally allowed that they do what they voted for you to do or you will make their life a living hell.

Both the reds and the blues cry about how they don't like the two party system but when it comes to election season you're voting for the 'other guy' if you vote independent.

I would want a third party system but as it stands for the president there is only ever one president so it's a wasted vote.

Get ready for the biannual tradition of Democratic early morning optimism with their fingers on exit poll scales for welfare leeches and young kids followed by Republicans swarming the polls when they get off of work.

My official :optimistic:Rainbow Nigger :optimistic: prediction: RCP's National Polling Average has underestimated Trump by 2.5/2.9 (avg. 2.7) points ('16/'20 respectively) compared to actual election performance nationwide. Within the last week, Trump has taken RCP's average by at most 0.4 points from the Harris peak of 2.2. It currently sits at 0.1 for Harris. Even though it is two data points, the underestimate did increase 0.4 points from '16 to '20. Clinton and Biden both claimed more than their RCP averages on Election Day, but the spreads narrow towards Trump both times, 1.1 and 2.7 (avg. 1.9). Considering how early voting data turned out, I think I can justify an underestimate of 2.5, but will stick with 2.0 to be conservative. With Trump's RCP national average of 48.6 to Harris' 48.7, both performances narrowing into Trump's favor is possible. I think Trump will eek out a popular vote win over Harris, staying around 50.6%. Maybe getting to 51%.

FiveThirtyEight had Trump getting 312 electoral votes as the plurality of single outcomes for both sides on their simulation distribution graph ever since their odds started to swing towards him since the 18th. Of course, getting to 312 electoral votes for Trump would mean him getting NV, AZ, PA, WI, MI, NC, and GA. I do kinda expect it to happen. RCP's 2016/2020 swing-state polls show similar behavior to their national averages across the board.

Nothing to me suggests that pollsters have changed their ways since 8 years ago and early voting everywhere isn't looking good for Team Blue. I put Trump at improving on Biden's 2020 EC performance with 312 (vs. 306) and him eeking out the popular vote, even if by a hair.
