I do not believe the system exists. The electoral system of the United States is a collective hallucination. This is 66% of the US population telling the Federal Government they support the continued existence of the Federal Government, and that they believe democracy works. I was a part of the third of the US that does not believe that. I do not believe in the US Federal Government and I believe the sooner it collapses, the better. So, I indicate this to the government by not voting.

I'm no economist but it seems to me a stronger US economy helps us too. Definitely in our best interests for Trump to win.

I have friends and colleagues whom I want to remain friendly with, but behave like little Nazis when it comes to who other people vote for. These people are challenging to navigate and, when pressed, I usually tell a half-truth that I regard all politics like professional wrestling: entertainment and nothing more. What I don't tell these people is that I'm 100% pro-Trump and I want Marxists banned from US politics.

Shit in 2000 Florida had to do manual recounts, on air, like 3 different times.
I get that 2020 was fucky and suspicious but this is a massive over-correction.
 
I strangely feel at peace. I’ve had so much anxiety leading up to the election, but today I just feel calm. No matter what happens, I’ve already survived a Biden presidency, any harder times from a Kamala presidency will just make me more resilient. I have ancestors that lived through the Great Depression and WWII, I think I’ll be fine.

If a novel is butchered it is often because they take only the superficial elements of the book and insert them into an inferior structure.

I don't remember very much about Diamonds the novel (something about horse racing? How did those Spang dudes die again?) and a simple smuggling ordeal would've seemed like an anticlimax to the Bond-Blofeld beef. I wouldn't mind, however, if EON said something along the lines of "look, we're struggling to put Bond 26 together, but to tide fans over, we'll do some small-budget adaptations of literary Moonraker or whatever."

Hard agree. I've got all the bond movies on blu Ray, DVD, and all the ones that came out on VHS. I fuckin' love James Bond. But I always tell people they really need to read the books. They're incredible.
