The good ol' too protected to understand reality or actual functioning positions on subjects. They cry about not feeling safe walking alone at night but act like bigger victims than people who do get assaulted at night. How does one who never had a threat have proper threat processing? Is it any wonder why so many believe in a patriarchy despite the vast pushes to get women in powerful societal positions? The simple idea of it is all they have to worry about and they feel too threatened by something that doesn't exist to process reality.

The long story short is Firebell is a "crisis PR team" at Weber Shandwick that, amongst other things, will happily engage "trolls" (pissed off customers) on your behalf in order to disrupt them, get them banned off social media, or waste their time so you can set up a narrative ("these are all just alt right nazi racists, that's the only reason anyone could hate our product") before they can. Paid shills of the troll for hire variety, when you can't rely on random wokies to do it for free. They do other things, like train your workers to damsel or to not take the bait, but their most important product is "pay us and we'll troll for you."
Renfamous (who is fat) supposedly works for that team. She's literally paid to swoop in and harass people expressing a negative opinion on a corporation in order to waste their time or energy, get them pissed off enough to say a no no word so the Firebell's paid allies at Twitter/Reddit/etc's moderation staff can have an excuse to ban them, or cause groups like ComicsGate to break in half over a wedge issue like @FROG, the human sunbeam. For example, when GamerGate started they were DESPERATE to get us to name a "leader of gamergate" so they could shatter GamerGate in half over that one leader. If you want to know how absurd it got, they tried to force the fucking Gunt to be the leader for a while there.
Heck, I'm not entirely unconvinced that Kwanza Osajyefo's entire indy comics thing (synopsis: "What if blacks were the only ones who got superpowers, wouldn't we just absolutely fuck over whitey? heh heh heh.") wasn't literally a Firebell op to try and blunt the "nazis ruining crowdfunded comics" thing that was embarrassing the shit out of Marvel/DC, since I can't imagine anyone in their right mind would ever read that slop otherwise and Kwanza kinda stopped after Renfamous et all stopped going after ComicsGate -- i.e., when whomever was paying for Firebell stopped.
Weber Shandwick seems a bit too woke for Meatball, but I'm sure Weber Shandwick is just one of MANY similar companies out there. Where there's one there's more than one, and with the rise of ChatGPT, I wager there's drop in solutions coming down the pipe. Dead Internet Theory was also a prediction.

The COVID stimulus supposedly "cut child poverty." Except then it was revealed, no, it didn't.
Actually COVID was one huge fucking mis step for Biden because more people died under Biden than Trump, even with the vaccine.

It was dumb of them to open themselves up by making that ad but ultimately it won't hurt Beshear all that much. He'll win by 15-20 points easily. the Beshear name is well-known in every household, He's white, doesn't look reptilian and hasn't actually done that much to piss of the voters. he was on board the tranny train for a while until he saw polling (i assume) and shut his mouth.
Ky is a very republican and conservative state that very rarely actually elects a republican for governor. only had a R in the gov. seat a handful of times since the civil war. doesn't matter much though, the state house always has a R supermajority and the governors cabinet is elected too so they are republican as well. what few democrats that squeeze through are either old timey southern democrats or represent Louisville or Lexington, the two big (blue) cities. though Lexington isn't quite as blue as you'd think yet.

I have to admit I'm slightly impressed... slightly.
Anyone remotely familiar with China's modern history could tell you Xi and China would never bow to a global order.
For the longest time, China saw themselves as the center of their world. It's even in China's name, Zhong Guo, which roughly translates to the Center Country. They had every resource they needed and aside from the occasional Mongolian hoarde, the only threats they ever had to worry about was a local warlord thinking they were going to be the big dick ruler of the Kingdoms.
Then the East India Trading Company came along and got a shitload of people hooked on opium. The Chinese tried to resist at first but then some faggot monarch decided that the Crown's trade routes were being endangered as a result on the prohibition against drugs, so they invaded. That went so well that when the British decided they wanted to sell even more opium, the French asked if they could tag along. The end result was China being forced to legalize that shit so the western powers could set up shop and sell it. Oh and China had to pay war reparations on top of it all because they lost. This rapes China's economy to the point where they're collectively known as the "Sick Man of Asia."
Then came Japan. They saw how the colonization game was going for the Europeans and they decided they wanted in on it. Problem was, the Japanese got into the game way too late and they couldn't expand too far without stepping on the toes of a lot of European powers. Japan wants to take the Philippines? They gotta go through America. They want to take Singapore? They gotta go through the British. They need oil? They have to go through the Dutch East Indies which is guaran-fucking-teed to piss off every western power in the world. So where do they start? They move into Taiwan and Korea. Then when WW1 breaks out, they throw in with the Allies and seize Germany's territories in the Pacific (who was going to fucking stop them?). So where else do they go? Manchuria. The Russians were vying for influence in the region, but the end of the Russo-Japanese War saw them pull out of the region. So that leaves Japan on the border with China. As long as you don't mess with the European holdings in China, nobody's going to give a shit if you invade China. So one Marco Polo Bridge Incident later, you get the Second Sino-Japanese War.
Meanwhile in China there's a civil war that's been going on for the last ten years. You have one side led by Generalissimo Chiang Kai Shek, who was a warlord that beat a bunch of other warlords in war to unite all of China (not including Manchuria) under him. On the other side you have Mao Zedong, who wants to try this radical new idea called communism. They absolutely brutalize each other until the Japanese show up to rape Nanking. Chiang Kai Shek and Mao Zedong put their war on hold to fight the imperialist Japanese dogs because holy shit China is not prepared. If you watch any movie China produces about fighting the Japanese, you'll be able to count at least five different rifles from five different countries which take five different calibers. That's less than ideal when you're going up against an army with standardized equipment. This slog goes on (mainly because China's a huge country and Japan had to devote its limited resources to fighting America following the bombing of Pearl Harbor) until atoms get split over Hiroshima and Nagasaki and Hirohito decides to fuck off back to his burnt out husk of an empire.
This leaves China is a unique place it hasn't been in decades. The Japanese drove the western powers out of China during their invasion and now that the Japanese have left, China's not under the influence of the west anymore. Chiang Kai Shek is still friendly to the west and the west is keen on sending weapons to him in order to contain communism. But if there's one thing communism thrives on, it's misery. Endless wars had driven people from their homes, which in turn affected the crops, which led to starvation. The Chinese were ready to try a new way and that new way was communism under Mao Zedong. Chiang Kai Shek and his army is eventually driven to Taiwan and the red banner flies over the mainland. Eventually Mao decides that China's economy (which was still shit at the time) needs to overtake Britain's to become one of the major powers in the world. This is known as the Great Leap Forward. They absolutely wreck their ecosystem in a bid to radically expand their farmland in order to become one of the world's top producers of food. Millions of people die. Eventually Mao dies and his successors build an independent China up to where it is today.
Despite everything Mao put China through, he's still revered as a great leader. There's a good reason for this. For better or worse, Chairman Mao and the CCP made sure China was free of the influence of foreign powers. Today, they're the ones in charge of a lot of shit. If you want to produce a remake of Red Dawn set in an era where the Soviet Union doesn't exist so they can't utilize airbases in Cuba as a jumping off point, you can't portray the Chinese as the bad guys. You better shit out a plot where the North Koreans somehow make it across the Pacific Ocean without their ships and planes blowing the fuck up halfway across. And while you're at it, don't even think about saying "Free Hong Kong" during a Blizzard game. If you're going to show a map of China, make sure that thing has nine lines around it and you better know damn well where those lines go.

Nothing because if there hadn't been a huge smoke plume from it that looked crazy on TV there wouldn't have been a story in the first place. In the end muh pollution was very localized and not much of a threat to the locals either. The Louisiana coast is like a million times worse for muh chemicals everywhere and no one gives a shit, it just turns Cajuns into weirder mutants than they are already. East Palestine didn't turn anyone into a mutant
