I briefly considered (and attempted) commuting to work about a decade ago by bicycle instead of driving. It was about a 2 mile "trek" -- one main road (6-lane, with bike lanes and sidewalks), and one side road to the office.

I made the attempt once. FUCK THAT. Never again:

If you're stupid enough to try to ride in an actual lane of traffic, you're begging for death -- you can't keep up with traffic, you're pissing everyone off, and it's inevitable someone either doesn't see you or just decides "fuck it" and smacks into you.

If you think "okay I'll just hug the curb" -- every storm drain will try to eat your front tire and kill you. Every driveway or turnout will fuck with your tire's grip in a different way (everyone builds their construction project differently, hires different shitty contractors, using different shitty equipment and materials, etc.) and either fling you back into traffic trying to dodge it or pull you down and knock you over.

Then there's the sidewalk. By far it's the "safest" option -- if not for the pedestrians who (rightfully) get pissed at your presence there too and ergo do what they can to obstruct -- but again, every sidewalk is different, no one follows any standards, and there's no guarantee even on a main thoroughfare will reliably have a sidewalk on both sides for the entire length of your trip.

Fuck that shit. Literally EVERYTHING WANTS YOU DEAD when you're riding a bicycle on public streets. Save it for mountain trails, parks, desert rides, etc.

You're genuinely, unironically safer on a self-balancing electric unicycle traveling on public roadways. At least those fucking things can hit main street speeds, have lots of "oomph" and braking power, and leave you far more mobile and get the fuck out of your way if you have to bail.
I biked for my commute for years as it was only a few miles with bike lanes and my job lets me show up sweaty af and change out in my office
finally got seriously hit by a car a few months back, ironically enough when I was crossing at a sidewalk crosswalk being a good do-be, and the guy just decided to take off because that disco light show on wheels slowly in front of him was too subtle, got a broken arm and leg for my troubles
tbh if my wife hadn't demanded no further biking I'd probably be back at it

but fuck sidewalks. I've literally ONLY been hit on sidewalks. most of the time it was a light bump from a van that didn't knock me over all the way, or the time I tboned a cop because she ran the stop sign, and a couple of times I ran a gauntlet of vultures perched on rails directly at eye level
never biking on sidewalks again if I ever do get back

There's a difference between sacrificing for something greater than yourself, or sacrificing for your country, and on the opposite end of the spectrum using your own loss from a stupid governmental action for personal gain, buddy.

What was the point of GWOT again?
Everyone in my age group had the opportunity to serve for the 20 years we were in the sandbox.
Guess why I didn't? Because I couldn't justify it in my own head.

Afghanistan: Taliban took over anyway.
Syria: Al-Jolani a former Al-Qaeda Salafi jihadist is in charge of Syria.
Iraq: Controlled by the Islamic Dawa Party, AKA Iran/Shia-alignment.
Israel: Destroying everyone left and right with weapons and sigint technology we basically sold to them anyway.

So what was the point of GWOT again, Tammy?
What was the point of your sacrifice? Who benefitted from it? Anyone from your block, from your neighborhood? Your town? Your state? Your country? I doubt it to the max.
Why is the suicide rate per 100,000 soldiers higher than combat casualties since 2012, in terms of both numbers going in opposite directions they went before?
Genuinely, I think the deeper issue is not veterans in government giving their personal story of sacrifice, but the fact that they're ostensibly here to help America, and they never actually have?
GWOT veterans are haunted by ghosts, and the Government was the one who did it to them.

Because shit like this happens.

Except in real life and not video games. In their incestuous circles, honorary(theoretical) degrees are acceptable credentials. Under qualified but easily controlled people infect almost every institution.
Counterpoint: were it not for people with bogus credentials sneaking into jobs they don't deserve, I would not currently be in posession of a functional orbital weapons platform.

Checkmate. *dialup modem sounds*

I believe theres a possibility that many of the people at these protests are getting paid off to a certain extent. I'm just curious what avenues are being used to reach these people? Are there websites you can sign up? Are they reached out to privately?

Didn't the NYC ones disperse at 1 on the dot?

At this point Trump needs to just say "fuck it" and deploy the Federal Army to Chicago. I know he's trying to do things by the book but these governors and mayors are getting far to big for their britches and need to be knocked back down a few pegs.
I never understood why the US treated gang wars in east/central LA as just 'whatever' back then. I think they thought if they came down on gangs, it would be like coming down on fraternities or some nonsense.

We've had that now with 'illegals aren't' 'illegal'. There's a lot of white people that want the US decimated, and have done a lot to do such. Time did loosen the negro crack wars, but at huge cost, and now these same types want to go easy now when we can look back on the 90s with rose glasses. At least you could get a job then and the pajeeets hadn't taken over sectors.

That's the best mindset I think, that they said 'wtf, it's a local issue' so let the negroes do their thing. There's a terribly weird situation where the US wants to allow unchecked crime, at least back then, not to be compared to eastern bloc commie control. Now? Cause democrat voters want the crime.

Why?

What do most people think of when they hear "JB Pritzker"? The guy's the nephew of a hotel chain magnate, he's incredibly fat, all he's nationally known for is bitching about Trump, and he's basically irrelevant outside of Illinois. At least Rahm Emmanuel got out of Chicago and had a successful political career. You could say the same for Obama, of course. Pritzker? He's going nowhere. That's humiliating enough.
You forgot the most important part: The Prtizker family pushed and massively financially profited from "gender affirming care"

The Pritzker family came from kyiv, they have some deep ties to some shady shit. Penny (JB's sister.. not the tranny, his actual sister) was one of the commerce secretaries under Obama. Biden appointed her as U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery. In this role, she worked with the Ukrainian, the EU and private sector in the US. Keeping that war going was very profitable. JB has/had control of a couple dozen ngos that were getting big money from USAID too.

A lot of reasons to hate that fuckign fat faggot.
