The planet is to small to retain them in atmosphere but the heavy elements will create an artifical pseudo-atmosphere as long as we keep polluting. Also a space elevator can be built there with standard steel cables. This make a Mars the perfect location to manufacture giant space battleships to fight the space Indians.

The major concern with putting an atmosphere on Mars is not the size of the planet, but that solar wind will strip it away, as it already has. However this is a process that would take millions of years, so it's not a concern on human timescales.

Learning a little about history will explain to you what is going on in the world today. learning a little philosophy will help you understand why what is going on is going on. read a little goethe or schopenhauer, and you'll have a better understanding of things. or shit, just read up on some world history, or some US history. It's amazing stuff, our world was shaped by amazing men (and women)
