The choice this year is between a ginger tax dodging democrat oaf and a reptoid dynastic politician up to her neck in lies and corruption. As ever the contest between red and blue has been riveting, with much grabbing of pussies and hiding of emails.

I don't know about an outright ban, but limiting the intake further of refugees from god only knows where is doable. Giving teeth to E-Verify to make it harder for illegals to get work so they self-deport is doable.

Gay marriage? Nah, the toothpaste is out of the tube and can't be put back in now. At most, he'll probably sign into law protections for religious organizations who don't wish to have same-sex marriages in their churches, so that way they can avoid getting slapped with lawsuits from the ACLU or something.

Deporting? That's a little trickier... I imagine there probably will be deportations, but if he does any sort of immigration overhaul, he'll probably make it even harder for them to get into the country now. But it's hard to say for sure.

He doesn't plan to ban gay marriage as far as I know. He used to be in support of gay people and just avoided the topic on the campaign trail I wouldn't worry about it.
And as for deportations, he may do a few but it'd be too expensive to deport millions of people and impossible to find all the people here illegally.

He wants to put a moratorium on immigration from countries in the Middle East who's principal ideology is "death to America!" until a better vetting process can be figured out, and turn back the tide of illegal immigrants from Mexico who will gladly vote their rights away to the democrats in exchange for gimmedats and loose border laws.

IDK why asserting your national sovereignty is such a bad thing to people nowadays.

I don't understand why people are so against this. If a church doesn't want to marry you and your partner, you can go to a different church. You can locate a pastor online who will officiate same sex marriages and hold your ceremony at home or in a park or at fucking Disneyland if you want. Hell, just because a church won't marry you doesn't mean the state won't.

This is kind of like passing a law forcing Jews to eat bacon. Some won't care, others will be extremely upset, but at the end of the day bacon is still legal and you can buy it at your local grocer.

I don't think this, can I say, "new" republican base is that anti-gay (anti-trans, yes). Many popular right wing speakers with this new alt-right segment are gay, such as Milo. I don't think we have to worry too much about gay marriage.
