US ELECTION DAY (TRUMP VICTORY) - Every country has the government it deserves

So the colonies are picking a new govenor general or whatever they call them to replace the kenyan fellow they had last time.

The choice this year is between a ginger tax dodging democrat oaf and a reptoid dynastic politician up to her neck in lies and corruption. As ever the contest between red and blue has been riveting, with much grabbing of pussies and hiding of emails.

We have a thread charting the campaigns but the big day deserves its own thread.

Who are you voting for? Who will win?

How many kiwis will lose the rag and get banned?

Please clap

Several things:

1) The Democrats alienating Bernie Sanders supporters and rigging the Democratic primaries so Hillary would become the nominee. They turned off a significant number of young people -a critical demographic- in favor of keeping the status quo. If the Bernie supporters didn't defect to Trump, they probably went for Jill Stein instead.

This was probably the single biggest fuckup of these arrogant incompetents, but it was really just a symptom of the general entitled mentality of the whole campaign, that viewed the election as just a hollow formality since Hillary was anointed by God to be President.

If there is one thing that is satisfying about this, it is watching these little shits get their teeth kicked down their fucking throats. Go ahead, you fucks, say "Bernie Bros" one more goddamn time, you motherfucking punks.

I see some people comparing this to Brexit and I still wonder why do the left (esp. americans) consider the Brexit thing so bad? I've seen only things like "it harms innocent POC immigrants" but nothing really specific beyond that. Somebody give me a clarification.

4) WikiLeaks. Some of the stuff in that was damning, like Podesta insulting Catholics (say what you will about Catholics, but they actually have social justice issues that would align with the Democrats perfectly if they weren't anti-abortion) and them insulting Bernie Sanders supporters. Alienating two potentially powerful groups didn't help.

I think this did play a role, even if a minor one. Current info is showing that Catholics broke around 52% in favor of Trump, which could easily have been a significant force in Northern strongholds like the states that comprised (the ironically now torn down) Bluewall.

People who consider themselves part of the elite don't like it, therefore bad.

The new big maymay going around is Pence's whole thing about conversion therapy. Think Pence could get anything done as vp under that because it seems pretty fucked up.

On the other hand, Clinton wanted middle eastern refugees that are probably homophobic, racist, sexist so idk.

Just from my personal experience around STEM graduates, more than a few are fearful that Brexit means UK universities and labs will lose a lot of EU funding and grants for scientific research.

Hey guys, real question. What was 1 thing in particular you think won the election for Trump?

Honestly? I think a lot of people are sick of being manipulated by the media, and being pressured to support someone or something under the threat of being unfairly labeled if they don't. The DNC made the worst decision to go with Hillary, which you know was done for no reason besides gender. I think people are sick of the extreme left like the children of tumblr.

The "Bernie Bros" were saying for a long time that the absolute fucking worst person to run against Trump was a corrupt, entrenched career politician. But these arrogant shit-eating cocksuckers wouldn't listen, and they rammed through this worthless fucking LOSING hag in a rigged primary process, because they just knew so much fucking better.
The Bernie Bros don't look much better than the rest of the democrats, they immediately shifted gears to "lel, Hillary 2016, at least she's not Drumpf mirite?" the second it was apparent that Bernie wouldn't get the nomination. Despite the fact Bernie's whole anti-establishment, America-first rhetoric was the same shit that Trump has been talking about.

The Trump of Asia congratulates the American Trump. Now two Trumps are presidents of a country:

http://globalnation.inquirer.net/149298/duterte-softens-stance-on-us-after-trump-defeats-clinton

(UPDATED: 9:59 p.m.) KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — “I don’t want to quarrel anymore, Trump is already there,” President Rodrigo Duterte said on Wednesday before members of the Filipino community here.

Duterte seemed to softened his stance against the United States the day Republican candidate and business tycoon Donald Trump won as America’s 45th president.

He congratulated Trump after his win over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, whom President Barack Obama actively campaigned for.

“We are both foul-mouthed. We curse even the smallest things,” he added.

In his previous speeches, Duterte repeatedly lashed out at the US, threatening to sever the country’s ties with its longtime ally.

In an ambush interview, Duterte said he expects Trump to fulfill his promises to the Americans.

“I would like to congratulate President Trump for his victory and I wish he will govern the way he promised the American, people,” he said. “Mabuhay ka.”

On the future of the Philippines-US treaties, Duterte also expressed optimism. “I never wanted quarrel with anybody so I wished President Trump that he will honor our obligations and treaties with the US,” he said.

Asked if the Philippines’ relationship with the US under a Trump presidency would be improved, Duterte said, “I really don’t know because it would depend on the US.”

Yeah, I suspect when political historians look back on this election, that will probably be the first reason they'll point out as to how the Democrats managed to lose this election. Bernie had a tremendous amount of support, especially from young people, and they pissed that all away because they had such a hard-on about getting Hillary into office.

I doubt the Democrats will do any sort of soul searching and/or acknowledgement that this is what ultimately fucked them up, and they'll instead try to pass the blame onto someone/thing else.

Clinton would have had public support to bring in the refugees because whitey would rather be killed by a suicide bomber than be called racist. I don't think Pence will find the same level of support.

Personally, I think Trump has earned the chance to make his mark with the presidency.

Don't blow it. We're all counting on you.

As for how he won, several reasons:

- Hillary completely failed to motivate/persuade a significant portion of women and minorities over to her side.
- Hillary's past baggage/checkered past.
- The Rust Belt states (PA, OH, MI, in particular) were able to connect with Trump's modus operandi (particularly in regards to jobs).
- An extremely frustrated and disillusioned lower- and middle-class that is tired of being talked down to.
- A backlash against the current wave of political correctness and identity politics.

Hopefully this will be a wake up call to the democrats that the people want a populist/non establishment person to run and won't shove manufactured shitheads down our throats next time.
I know, I know :optimistic:

Just like brexit this is gonna be prime time for liberal arsehole students to bitch on social media about the working class 'ruining their country', inadvertently demonstrating their own rampant classism. Yet again the vocal minority think that their opinions are the only ones that matter.

If Brexit was the cold flannel on the face, this is the ice cold bucket of water dumped over the head. Euro-fags out there, be warned. If your centre parties don't heed the warnings of Brexit and Trump, then your National Fronts will gain more power than they really deserve.

In the words of Bill Goldberg, Europe, YOU'RE NEXT!

France and Denmark are well on their way to their own pendulum shifts. I can see Marine Le Pen gaining office in the next year, at this rate.

Because we were told that it was bad. There's not really any justification beyond that.
