Deltarune, but Berdly is the hero

I just thought of something interesting.
While Hometown is clearly a cage of some sort, I think it's only been like that recently, and the original Hometown wasn't.
Maybe this can all be tied back to the alternate timeline theory, but doesn't anybody else think it's curious that the internet, a link to the outside world, has just been down for days? Asriel, who exists outside of Hometown and was meant to be showing up for the Festival doesn't?
I think that the experiment of Deltarune may be somebody taking a copy of the town and keeping it separated from the rest of the world during the experiment. (Possibly with the idea of using Susie to mess with the prophecy?)
The Shadow Crystal may be showing Hometown outside of the experiment. Which explains a LOT.
-You thought you saw Susie glaring at you, coldly...
-You thought you saw Noelle close against you, whispering.

We've already been through these Noelle and Susie ones enough, but where the experiment theory really starts to shine is:
-You thought you saw your mother holding someone else.
This would be on Festival day. The day Asriel was probably meant to be home.
There's also the unused text for Chapter 3:
-For some strange reason, for just a brief moment...
-You thought you saw Undyne frozen in ice.

Which, if Noelle were there, and the Knight didn't kidnap Undyne, might've been required.
It's not so much an alternative timeline, but a captured bubble of space.
The Shadow Crystal when used in Dark Worlds tend to allow you to actually see the world outside of the Dark Worlds, too. (So it's possible that the Noelle holding flowers scene was actually taking place inside of Flower King and not the Dark World made within it)
Now, if this does turn out to be true, then it means that escaping from Hometown won't put Kris and Noelle in some backrooms grayscale hellhole, but the original Hometown. The big question is whether it makes them duplicates, or if it puts em into their other bodies, or if it turns Kris and Noelle into Goners or someshit.

Also this isn't super related, but:
* ... we were voted Festival King and Queen year after year!
* Actually, that's why my store is called "Flower King!"
* ... Kris, you and little Prince Asriel are royalty too!
Kris being a prince confirmed in actual text.

What other likely variations do you think there are for how the story will end, given the susie prophecy fuckery theory is true?
Not quite sure if I can really envision the likely ending just yet. Too many unknown variables.

Asriel, who exists outside of Hometown and was meant to be showing up for the Festival doesn't?
I wanted to ask a question about that; People keep saying
-Asriel was going to show up for the festival
-Susie only befriended Kris to get close with Noelle

Where do those come from? I know Asriel was returning "next week" and Susie said she was jealous, but I'm not sure where those other specific implications come from

Which, if Noelle were there, and the Knight didn't kidnap Undyne, might've been required.
Yeah thats very interesting. I'd wager it's more likely than not Kris would have been working with the Roaring Knight in the "unaltered" prophecy timeline anyway, so maybe he had to convince Noelle to freeze Undyne? Or perhaps thats just the WR of the original prophecy (though it depends on if the WR is about escaping the simulation as a whole or just escaping Susie's bastardization of the prophecy, or what role the player has in the original prophecy, because it's possible it didn't have to be the player but just a special "soul")

So there are 3 heroes.
And a girl.
Guys, my theory is that the 3 heroes, get this, they fight off the girl. Maybe this girl is named Rude Buster, I don't know, I'm a casual player so you guys will need to help me out here.

noelle felt controlled since dess left, so it seems that the path began only few days before and you could actually escape if you were quick enough. asriel is a "crying boy" remember? he is crying because he can't come back and because he couldn't save anyone else since they were already marked as npcs in the prophecy. noelle tried to kill herself and that failed too.
You thought you saw your mother holding someone else.
power of lost dreams. a lost dream of sans. i still believe that some of those are from the original prophecy and that's all although "shadow crystals showing you what is above your reality" is an interesting concept too

-Asriel was going to show up for the festival
This one is a little weirder, because he was mentioned as being meant to arrive next week, and the Festival is on Sunday.
I just kinda get the feeling that he was meant to show up during the Festival if he was meant to show up at all, we know he's finished College, so why wouldn't he?
This one mostly seems to be a mass hallucination, but I'm still of the opinion that the Shadow Crystal was showing Toriel holding Asriel.
-Susie only befriended Kris to get close with Noelle
This one is more interpretation going off of this:

but I have a soft spot for the "fictional character gains sapience and doesn't handle sapience well" trope. It's rarely if ever done correctly and satisfactorily though.
Could be great if done right but THAT still leaves all of the 6 gorillion unanswered plot threads toby has written himself into a corner to.
Some of the music was nice, but nothing on the level of TV Time or any of the Sanctuary themes.
The OST just...doesn't feel like deltarune half of the time. Like it doesn't have tobys style and feel to it. Someone earlier mentioned the possibility of tranny hands being involved in this project and i won't be too surprised if that's the reason why the music sucks half of the time. Atleast Aquas theme, the shop at the cliffs and the cliffs theme was legitimately great. Shame some of the music is pretty forgetable.

I was one of the folks who thought that the Shadow Crystals were going to turn out to be Determination, especially since we know for a fact that Determination can be a physical object, namely a liquid which could be injected into things, which would also tie into the fact that the Shadow Crystal were described as "like water"

After Chapter 5 shot down that theory by revealing that they're actually lost dreams, I thought "Well crap. What the hell are dreams in the physical sense?" And then I remembered...

So the Shadow Crystals aren't Determination, but something happens if you were to fuel them with it
