Wait, aren't flowers supposed to be soulless? How tf do the 7 flowers seem to believe they're humans? And more specifically, where did those flowers come from? Especially if apparently they have the soul of a human in it.
That's true, but that's Undertale logic.
A laptop doesn't have a soul, either. Neither does a playing card. Or a spam email.
Dark Fountains upon being opened with determination allow all of those things to have emotions, even if they don't have souls, which would include flowers.
My current unified theory is working on the idea of Dark Worlds as we see them for the most part being childish imagination from Kris and Noelle's past come to life, pencils becoming swords, a playing card being an actual king. That kind of stuff.
So inside of a dark world, of course the flowers can have emotions!
(This is also why Susie's Dark World is so messed up. She doesn't have the same
imagination that Kris and Noelle do that likely originally formed all the Dark Worlds around the town that we see. Susie really
is an invader.)
Dunno why people keep saying Kris and Noelle killed themselves at the end of the Weird Route.
Way I interpreted it is Noelle has figured out the rules of game, and she wants to test the limits of the "Player picks an option."
Kinda like how when you tell Kris "Open the door."
He does so, but with his eyes closed.
He understands the rules and works around them to fuck with us.
Noelle understands the rules now, and wants to exploit them as much as she can.
That's why she says "tell me to grow wings and fly" because she's thinking if we're given the option "Make Noelle grow wings", she actually will.
She's thinking, as long as we say 'Proceed' she doesn't need to worry about drowning, because we're inputting the decision for them to proceed forward.
Well at least that's how I interpret it anyway.
People keep saying that because they are
retarded.
It's clear that Noelle had her eyes on something bigger.
But as for drowning, here's the thing. I don't think Noelle was ever bothered about that being a possibility at all. She wasn't worried about drowning because she literally can't drown, and neither can Kris. If you stop proceeding in the middle of the lake, when Kris and Noelle should just... die of drowning. They don't, they just get sent back to events as they
should be. It's lead me to conclude that Noelle understands that she
can't die. (Suicidal Noelle is also likely going to be a part of my theory, as the prophecy would prevent any attempts.)
