Apparently the scarf Flowery gets you can be equipped by Ralsei... after his death. Once Flowery dies, it becomes the Broken Scarf and, if Ralsei were in your party, he is able to equip it. However, after flowery's death, ralsei leaves the party for the rest of the chapter so this can only be done by cheating.

Crazy theories aside, look at this insanity. The hammer game is, as stated by Noelle, a game to determine how strong is the bond between two people. Noelle x Susie leads to Susie cheating to get a score, because they can't do it properly. Susie x Kris leads to them beating each other with hammers. Kris x Noelle will ALWAYS score a point, no matter if you wait ten seconds, or just hit as soon as you're allowed to, Noelle will always hit at the same time as you.

(Where the world is confused and there are still moments of perfect synchronicity for Noelle and Kris like the compatibility tester, yet when Susie does it with her, she needs to force things all by herself.) Now, this could be schizobabble, you could even call it cope, but if Toby pulls this off and makes Susie the actual villain I will laugh for a solid ten minutes straight.

It's possible that they tried to do what Kris and Noelle did, only without a human soul to let them barrier break so they just fucking died and shit got all sorts of fucked. I have a theory I'm just gonna throw out now. It's probably wrong, but whose isn't.

MY theory is that Kris isn't in cahoots with Carol, she was a red herring. Both she and Asgore were just conspiracy nuts, but semi-independently.
They were both trying to figure out what happened in 'the incident', and they co-operated, but they didn't reveal everything they knew to each other.
At this point I think Rudy is the Knight, and Dess either died or is lost in the bunker.
A thought that just occurred to me is that perhaps Asriel knows and actually did arrive for the festival, but was at the bunker with Carol, and didn't tell anyone. Perhaps having a meeting with darkner dust-Dess or searching for her. (This is very out there, and probably very wrong.)
Kris made a promise with either Rudy, or Dess, to fix a mistake done during 'the incident'.
Which was possibly Kris, Dess, and Asriel having Dark World adventures that went wrong at the bunker. Or there was another member in Dess and Asriel's party, and Kris was merely a witness to what went wrong in the bunker. Perhaps he snuck out, following Asriel, and got caught up in whatever the adventure was, and messed things up, where Dess sacrificed herself to save Kris.

This is actually an exceptionally good framing device for a plot even if Toby doesn't go this way and instead embraces the yurislop. A prophecized hero getting their story stolen by an unworthy successor whose actions are causing the world to rot and splinter as it struggles to make sense of it.
