Chapter 6 is developing well.

• Cutscenes / NPC interactions: Making good progress.
• Overworld gameplay: We’ve created all the basic gimmicks of the chapter. (Gimmick = climbing, puzzles, etc.) Now, we need to create a few more rooms utilizing these gimmicks.
• Normal enemies & bullets: Mostly complete.
• Boss & bullets: We are working on the bullets of the last battle of the chapter.

This Chapter is easier to make than the others, so the development is going quite fast.

This sounds crazy, but it’s not unrealistic that some staff members may start working on Chapter 7 before the end of the year.

Clearly Flowey ambushes Kris while he leaves the others to have a smoke break.

My theory is that Asgore has been treating the golden flower as his asriel replacement with him at college, effectively making this another golden flower that believes it's asriel, but without the soullessness. It'll be flowey in spirit, but nothing like his undertale counterpart

Likely the secret boss. It wouldn't be flowey, but perhaps those flowers Asgore kept in a flowey-like role? Maybe playing a Gollum-like role in wearing down Asgore, tormenting him about his failed marriage?

The festival is:

• Described as a Carnival by Susie.
• Has Halloween decorations (Jackenstein)
• Has Christmas decorations (Ice Wolf)
• Now has Japanese festival aspects.

It's a mashup of different festivities. It's not going to be one single theme.

Different areas in town might have different themes? Would be funny to see the Church as a halloween area, holiday house as a Christmas area, flower shop as a Japanese area, town center as a carnival...


Also, Toby's newsletter heavily implies that this chapter is where shit will really start to go down. Bet on either the roaring, Susie finding everything out, Rudy dying, or the whole town finding out about the dark worlds (perhaps the whole festival gets swallowed up by one).

Alright, found the pictures. The poster is saying they're fake, but how do you make fake pictures that fast, especially with the borders that have pink and gold cherry blossoms which just got revealed? The poster may be trying to do damage control.

Hopefully, Toby is speeding up because Nintendo won't allow him to have the chapters take until 2030+ to be done, this outliving the Switch 2's life expectancy.

The images are actually from January/February 2026 (or even December 2025).

But that even further begs the question -- I haven't really seen anyone say that Chapter 5 was going to have a Japanese theme. If these 3 images are fake, how did they predict it so perfectly?
