Like I said the job of HR is to protect the company(if they're doing their jobs right). Protect the company from harassment lawsuits, wrongful termination suits(like advising managers how to properly fire someone and what not to say). HR is not there to protect the employees from anything other than as a secondary effect of their primary goal to protect the company from liability problems. It's in the name Human Resources. They aren't there to be a resource for humans, they're there to manage the resources in the company that are humans. IT for people effectively.I know, I seconded it.
From what I have seen, they don't care. They protect the company instead of the employees. Alternatively, they create drama to keep themselves busy and employed (usually through false allegations of sexual miscontact). It is either one or the other. The point is, HR never work as the should be.
Now when an HR department is a bunch of incompetent DEI retards with their SHRM certificates and shit, yes they only exist to create problems and justify the existence of their bloated department.
