Just because you disagreed with a person politically doesn't mean you should celebrate his death, horrible cunt.

I don't live in the US and I don't know what exactly Scalia did, but unless a person is Hitler or a serial rapist, talking like this about the recently deceased is really fucking disgusting and low.

Isn't the TVT staff just great?

I guess Fighteer hates Ruth Bader Ginsburg, too. She and Scalia were the closest of friends.

Can we do cringey moral event horizons?

I remember once on the American Dad page someone listed every remotely mean thing Stan ever did as a MEH. It was a sight.

Sorry for necro-ing

A simple page where they list the characters who embody a certain trope very well but without the weird fanfic undertones would be okay but still silly. Some the fanwanked characters there aren't even the best example. Oh, well. When it comes to TVT's userbase you can't have high expectations.

I wonder if the Trope Pantheon will go out of hand and implode by itself?

It's entirely possible. I mean if it happened to Troper Tales (even with the intervention), it could happen again.

Geth is right, the Trope Pantheon pages are fucking sad. The fact that they think people like Doug Walker and Bill Cosby as demigods makes me wonder how insane in the brain they are.

This fucking "rule" is cringy enough in itself
Trope Pantheons dijo:
Read the instructions and bring it over to the Discussion thread before you add, move, remove, or replace a new deity. We cannot stress this enough.

I've always thought this was a silly trope. It isn't really your story to say that this will certainly happen in a series.
  • Every new generation for ages has been dismissed as lazy/stupid/entitled/dangerous, and many a doomsday prophet predicted that those damn kids will blow up the world in a few years. Meanwhile the apocalypse keeps not happening, and every time it seems to come close, those responsible are usually two generations up from the current so-called nihilists. Not to mention the "lazy and stupid" folk keep coming up with better and better technology. Including, ironically, medical advances that have increased our expected lifespan and ameliorated many conditions associated with aging.
In defense of the doomsayers tvtropes highly supports their argument

It's a parody of Rise of The Brave Tangled Dragons, which was Superwholock autism: Animated flavor.

And it's every bit as stupid as what it's trying to mock.
