I'm not sure what the argument even is. There are literally people on both sides that commit political violence. Simple as.
The rhetoric from the right after Kirk got got was that there was an imminent rightoid genocide and/or civil war, and everyone needed to tool up and cut Kamala voters out of their lives to maintain opsec
It kind of reminds me of the response I saw when the Trump election happened. I'm always going to kick myself for not screenshotting what I saw people saying in discord at the time. There were people posting the same things on twitter, and other social media, but I saw people basically saying the same thing, in discord/group chats. There was a not insignificant group of people that were telling trannies to go buy guns, because orange Hitlers gaystapo is going to round them up into camps.
but people get mad if I act like both sides are full of the same types of hysterical assholes that fully buy in to propaganda. the
behavior is the same, and even the reaction to saying they act the same is the same from either side. It's the same shit every time, doesn't matter which side "other guys are doing this, this, this, and this. No my side isn't the problem, and their side is". I will always think the real problem here is the way either side dehumanizes the other.
I'm at least glad I see some real attempts at dialogue between a couple people on the left, and right. Mostly Ro Khanna, the young turks people, and people like tucker carslon. It's really not much, and that could completely fall apart at any time. But I just want people to be convinced that dehumanizing people over not only faggy, but completely fake and gay (seriously imagine thinking these politicians care about you
at all) bought out by corporations political teams is just making everything worse. Even if one side is totally better than the other in every way on policy (yeah, i've seen what both have to offer, and they're both war hungry, power hungry, corporate bought, Israeli bought shit, one just virtue signals, and the other acts tough, both lie), they still behave more or less the same.
