Left wing violence is akin to a Dial (where is competency and violence dial up with rhetoric) with its extremists slowly getting more violent and deranged take a look at those who say its okay to murder people who voted for maga went from very low in 2017 to a good chunk of the country in 2026.
Right wing violence on the other hand tends to be more so a switch that flips. One of the things about right wingers is they tend to play things close and violence tends to be hard to see it bubbling up.

I had a post somewhere on this website about conservatism, I think, might try to dig it up, but all told, I've become convinced conservatism as a concept is structurally doomed owing more than anything to the losers it attracts as its adherents. The only way you can march is forward and you just choose the direction. Classical liberalism, the ideology I sympathize with, wasn't conservative in its own day.* Catholic feudalism wasn't conservative in its day either, for that matter. The only way you can effect anything or try to get what you want is by becoming a revolutionary mass movement.
*I define ideologies as nested in layers. Classical liberal is the label you can pitch to anybody from anywhere in the world, or apply historically, and they understand what you mean. Paleoconservative in the modern American context (you can imagine Pat Buchanan, Sam Francis, Steve Bannon, etc. and what this means in the present day). Jeffersonian if you drill even deeper or talk big-picture American history. Anyways, I just say that becase I'd mentioned paleocon in a recent post and I figure most people on this website have pretty good literacy of political terminology, but it's shit that if I'm talking to people IRL I can't assume they know any of that.
