Super bummed about this. Huge fan and really hope the guys can go out gracefully, without too much drama (although I will read every word of it). And of course I had to learn about this on the fucking DSP thread.

I like his solo content so I'm obviously biased and I'm not going to defend certain aspects of his personality (the MN9 thing is a good example), but since he left there seems to be a strong push to create a huge drama from a handful of events by people who inserted themselves into the group dynamic and think they know way more than they do. You can see this in the second screenshot I posted when people on twitter are acting protective of Woolie, someone Liam is actually real life friends with and they have probably never even met. I can see why he'd want to set some things straight before the narrative runs away from him even further, but as usual twitter is the worst possible platform for this and it's probably just going to get worse from here. Either way, more content for us I guess.

That’s fair. I’m probably speaking from personal bias as well. I actually really liked that Barkley Shut Up and Jam! Gaiden Liam and Pat did together.

A lot of people don't/didn't like Liam for his cynicism but I think that he did a great job in keeping the group grounded in reality. It was also nice to have a LPer that also was pretty good at video games.
 
I will always be sad we never got the full Persona 5 LP. Pat and Woolie being so excited and hyped for it made me try the game out and I loved it.

Funnily enough it was EDF 2017 that got me into them in the first place and they led me into games like Dark Souls and Yakuza.

I haven't watched these guys in years,but basically these events just confirmed everything I disliked about Liam.

Being a typically soyboy weeb who talks nonstop about how "good" his Japanese is and all the experiences he had while visiting Japan was annoying and makes them hard to like but I actually enjoyed the 4 very different personalities the channel offered (something Matt's wife should learn the deal with...different personalities)

But how he acts regarding this just confirms that he is type of person I actively dislike.
 
I keep hearing about video game news I know they care about and get excited to hear their thoughts...and then I remember what happened and get a little sad.
