The Super Best Friends Super Best Griefing Thread - Matt's a cuck, Liam is a bitch, Pat's a loony and Woolie's Way is now trademarked

I think it was screencappsd before it happened?
I dunno, I saw someone who posted it in a 4chan thread mention it. Could be bullshit.
Checked it right now. He doesn't appear to be banned. Yet.
Couldn't click on his profile though because that requires you to sign up and there's no fucking way I'm doing it.

Well this sucks. These guys were one of the few let's players I genuinely liked, and seeing all this fun shit come apart at the seams like this is pretty sad. I always just assumed that these guys were just 4 goofball buddies playing games together and shooting the shit about various things and generally having a good time, never really paid attention to anything deeper than that. I watched these Canadian fuckers ever since I was in high school, helped me take my mind off a lot through a lot of weird and sad times. Sad to see em go, but having the image of being such a friendly little group like that for so long on top of working in a relatively unstable format meant that something like this would've happened sooner or later.

Which play though on the channels are worth watching?
The earliest I can recommend is their Downpour playthrough.
Other than that,
Deadly Premonition is always a hoot.
I personally like their Catherine playthrough because of Pat's psych education, but it can be hard to stomach because of Woolie taking a while on some levels.
Silent Hill 2 and 3 were always good watches.
Star Fox Adventures was hilarious.
Omikron was a classic, and it's a meme that it caused Liam to leave with how terrible it was.
FFX was all-around solid, and had some great moments to it.
Whenever either Woolie or Pat had already played through the game and offered guidance to their partner, it was great. Examples include KOTOR and I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. I Have No Mouth is especially good due to them geeking out about the Psych stuff later in the game.

Most recently, all their Devil May Cry playthroughs were good, especially since they knocked them all out in a pretty short span of time.
For narrative focused games, both Night in the Woods and Tales From the Borderlands were good.

The Shitstorms are always good to rewatch for giggles every now and then, same with podcast clips.

These are all the ones that stuck out to me off the top of my head.

The very first Heavy Rain playthrough along with Beyond Two Souls were great because they were a gateway into introducing me to David Cage's terrible writing. I would never have experienced the virtues of an awful french voice actor screaming JASON if not for the lp.

Shame there probably won't be a Shitstorm next year. Then again if it was just Pat and Woolie doing a horror game once a week during October that'd be fine. Their Faith and Nun Massacre videos this year were great.
Which play though on the channels are worth watching?
Every David Cage game LP is 100% worth watching, including the 1st and 2nd Detroit playthroughs.

It is often argued that Pat and Matt weren't really that close to each other. The link connecting the two was Woolie. They just became the face of the channel and due to that, they were "forced" to tolerate each other and create content.

This is pretty accurate, since Woolie is directly responsible for them even starting the show in the first place, as he introduced them to each other. Woolie also brought in Liam from his day-job of video game testing, while Woolie was still his boss.
In fact, on the wiki it says that Matt originally wanted Woolie to be on the couch with him on the first video, but since he was busy, he invited Pat instead.

Shot in the dark, but I'm hoping we see more Paige. Maybe at least on the podcast side of things with Woolie and Pat. I actually enjoyed her recent inclusion on the Friendcast. She's got a snappy wit.

Her streams with Pat are always pretty good. Actually having a dynamic with her boyfriend and having a personality that's pretty much the opposite of titty-streamers helps a lot.

It does seem super weird that they just did a collab with roosterteeth (arguably the biggest in the biz). I hope this is a launching point for Pat and Woolie, Matt seems like a lost cause. I tried to watch his solo stuff and couldn't watch a full video, especially with his waifu.

Woolie vs Daigo will never not be funny

I admittedly did wonder why Matt didn’t go with them to Austin.

Like, even Pat went, and Pat almost never leave town.

This gets more true as time goes on. I think the only exception is Arin and Danny, and that's probably only because Arin learned his lesson the first time and hired a doormat to replace Jon.

It's also because he kept it going for cashflow over anything. This was around half a year before most flash animators announced they'd be opening up a Patreon because YouTube was unsustainable for non-longform videos anymore.

Danny was a pretty good choice regardless of Chemistry/Dynamic, since he's a pretty relaxed guy, who's both a doormat as previously mentioned, but also entirely uncontroversial. The only times I can think of controversy associated with him is when he called for fans to rush a dude's Sonic Adventure guide, and even then, that was encouraged primarily by Arin.

Him having less autonomy regarding games also helps them a lot in the long run, both because Arin's very opinionated, and often wrong about games. Danny almost called him out on some of his takes being bullshit, but stated that he's probably wrong anyway since he's not much of a gamer outside of the show.

I'll miss them being altogether even if they are still going separately it just won't be the same. They got me into so many franchises over the last decade. Green Greens just won't ever be the same again.

The one thing I hope for is Woolie and Pat DMC V.
