I wasn't even asking for a new video and I'm still let down. He could've at least been living for himself in a good way that improved his quality of life, but instead it's constant depression marathon of self-loathing with no true awareness to change upon self-criticism? Why would anyone punish themselves this hard for nothing?
Serious mental illness without proper treatment. He needs to be on serious meds and closely monitored. If he's already on meds, they aren't working and need changed.
Beyond that, he's going to need some serious, long-term therapy to get out of the mindset he's in, unlearn a lot of self-dsstructive behaviors, and develop positive habits.
Unless his family pushes him into it, it's unlikely anything improves.
The chemicals in his brain are all sorts of fucked up, to the point where he can't think properly. It hard to properly get across to someone who hasn't experienced it or personally seen it it someone.
No amount of "Get over it" will work. Any positive routines people try to establish will stop as soon as they aren't supervised and micromanaged. The default state of his brain is wrong due to the imbalances.
It's been described by a friend as "a brain fog that makes you feel like everything is hopeless, nothing will improve, ayou're exhausted even when you really aren't, and you just want to sleep to avoid it all"
His shut-in lifestyle and enabler girlfriend made it significantly worse. At this point, there's a good chance he ends up harming himself and needing hospitalization.
Overall, really sad to see.
