James Franco, of course, is exaggerating Tommy's accent too much though.

I do appreciate that James directed, acted, and pretty much did anything with the movie, as Tommy. He's going to be the one that makes the movie good. I don't think anybody else could do Tommy right.

It sounds like he isn't even doing an accent in most of the trailer footage, which I found strange. Wouldn't you want his most outlandish and accurate accent?


A good reviewer I watch did a review of it. He says exactly how I feel the movie would be.

I just heard James Franco's rendition of "You are tearing me apart Lisa!" and I just... seriously. I know I always come off pessimisstic to these kind of things, but I seriously cannot see how anyone can think James Franco is nailing Wiseau so much.

The voice is not doing shit to distinguish itself from any other Wiseau parodies. "Huh?" is always exaggerated into "HAAAAAUUUUAAAAA!???" And Franco is not including one key feature in Wiseau's actual acting voice. That being the charming and naive confidence. I just wish people who are trying to pay tribute to Wiseau, wouldn't try to exaggerate their parody so much.

I haven't seen the film yet, but I have read the book. The book is damn amazing, and I should definitely get tickets to see the film.

I saw it the day it came out here. I enjoyed it immensely. Performances were really good, especially James Franco's Tommy. It had a really good pace to it, but I think they changed things with the ending so they could make a more clean conclusion.

I would laugh if James Franco gets an oscar nod for playing Wiseau.

The shot for shot comparison in the ending was frighteningly uncanny in terms of accuracy. Apparently they still have 20 minutes of remade footage just lying around, hope there's a directors cut or DVD extra that has them all.

For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, there is a post-credits sequence and it is absolutely worth sticking around for.

So I just saw the movie and I really enjoyed it. It isn't one of my favorite movies of the year, but if you're as big of a fan as I am, you'll probably like it.

I plan to see it probably sometime next week. I'm busy, but I will make the time to see it; it'll be one of the very few movies I've seen in the theaters this year.

It's got a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, for those who are interested. Perhaps this could be the 21st century's Ed Wood.
