If Franco spends 100% of the time talking in the "Exaggerated" Wiseau accent, which he most certainly is doing so in the trailer, then I'll agree with this.
So sick of TW being portrayed as a parody.

I think I'm going to wind up seeing Best Friends before I see the Disaster Artist.
Seriously, I had so much hope in what Disaster Artist could have been, and when I heard Franco was doing it all I could think of is please don't make the act a parody. Don't base the voice upon the meme that Tommy always says "huuuuuuhhhhhhh?" with such a long draw all the time. Don't be half assed with the vocalizing and expressions.
On the other foot, since Best Friends is actually starring Tommy, who never portrays himself as a parody, I can expect a more authentic performance from him.

I've found it, and one that doesn't trick me with more hoops to watch.
I just saw the movie-exclusive scene with Greg talking with the other actors during lunch, real real nice.
Franco is fine. He is. But the overall theme of the act itself does seem to be parodying TW. But they are hitting the emotional scenes quite well. All I want in a Tommy Wiseau tribute in its act is Tommy's bizarre confidence.
