Well yeah, he's not a one-to-one to Ted.Never played the game, but in the short story, it was already established that everyone knows Ted is a paranoid wreck, and they usually either give him space or try to slap him back to attention whenever he gets his episodes. I don't remember him being a jerk, but it has been a while. At the end, the cast even talked to each other like old friends (but still a bit scared of AM) during making up the plan to screw over AM via murder-suicide.
Jax regularly assaults others, and nobody really treats him like an acquaintance. Jax didn't get an ending like Ted either. He failed a murder attempt on the way out, then poof, died alone.
I'm just saying that's where another part of Jax caring about the others comes from.
