There was no way this was a long con/trolling. She isn’t that smart, and neither are her friends.
That being said I read almost all of the shit that has been posted and leaked and felt that even if only 20% was real, 80% edge, it’s like watching kids trying to convince each other to go town dead mans hill on a sled- they hype each other up to do it until someone actually does it. Does that make sense? So you get Bella who talks ALOT about boiling hamsters, or killing dogs, or raping girls, or whatnot. Even if it isn’t all correct now, it sounds like she was pushing it to BECOME true eventually. Psyching herself up as it were.
As for the Chris thing (I never followed him and don’t emotionally care one way or the other) I think she wanted to be the hero- and famous for being “the one with all the tea and milk who brought down the famous Chris Chan” and except for F jumping the gun in disgust, maybe that would have happened if spun correctly. Post Mortem. Because I do believe her hero self insert only really works if Chris necked himself. But if I read it right that wouldn’t ever happen so.
My TLDR on the matter is that ILJ Made her bed and now she can sleep in it. I think if she isn’t a total fucking psycho yet she would become so because the line between fantasy backed by enablers (her friends thinking she’s “cool and edgy” and reality is VERY thin. But I 100% believe she’s a complete fucking idiot and completely a bitch. And I wouldn’t put it past her to post false shit just to discredit us because we are currently under fire for Byuus not suicide. Makes it easy to say “oh it’s KF and well” and have hundreds of Twitter fucks defend her a little cause #byuu or something.
last thing- I agree with @Jaimas- this feels like the high point of gamergate in that it’s moving fast and hard and sometimes in the wrong direction

I imagine it wouldn't be hard for her to get a name change. I'm not sure if this is still a thing but when newspapers were still a thing, you would have to publicly announce that you were changing your name from X to Y.

Name changes are done in state court and each state has a slightly different procedure. The records are kept at the state level, so if you are looking for a name change, you have to know which state records to look for.
It's not impossible to find name changes; it's not even particularly difficult. It's just tedious for non-autists.
Considering we confirmed her identity by watching her entire high school graduation video to spot her distinctive face, she wouldn't be able to hide a name change from the Eye of Kiwi for more than a couple days.
