🗑️ Trashfire StyxHexenhammer666 / Tarl Warwick - Oddball Occultist Neckbeard (who can make some interesting content) + his many scorned exes

Styx doing a "Tommy" from Trainspotting would be fucking grim.

Please dont besmirch Tommy like that comparing him to Tard. Tommy was 23 and had a girlfriend, Lizzy, who was really mean and unfair and dumped him like a stinky tird because they couldn't find their sex tape. Renton stole the actual sex tape - so Tommy wasnt even responsible! Tommy was friends with crew and generally against heroin and was quite athletic. Because Lizzy dumped him he became a bit depressed and vulnerable and decides to try heroine to feel the pleasure again. Every roll he makes after that first hit was bad - contracting HIV, leading to AIDS which later gives him toxoplasmosis eventually killing him. Tommy is portrayed by Kevin McKidd.

Tommy got fucked by circumstance every single step of the way.

Tommy begins as the healthiest and most respectable member of the group.
Tommy is athletic, clean cut, and devoted to football and Lizzy, and one of the few friends who refuses heroin. He actively urges Renton to get clean.
Renton violates his privacy and betrays his friendship.
While pretending to be Tommy's friend, Renton steals the most private thing Tommy and Lizzy possess. He then lets Sick Boy watch it, turning their intimacy into entertainment.
Tommy is blamed for something Renton did.
Lizzy believes Tommy was so careless that he returned their sex tape to a public video shop. Tommy cannot prove otherwise or even offer a sensible explanation.
Lizzy dumps him.
He loses what appears to be the central emotional relationship in his life. This is the immediate trigger for his collapse.
He abandons the principles that distinguished him from the others.
The previously anti-heroin Tommy asks Renton what heroin feels like and demands the right to discover it for himself.
Renton supplies Tommy’s first heroin.
Renton is reluctant, but he ultimately gives it to him. This makes Renton’s role especially ugly: he secretly caused the breakup and then supplied Tommy with the escape mechanism that destroys him.
Tommy becomes seriously addicted.
His athleticism, discipline and clean appearance disappear. He deteriorates into the very kind of incapacitated heroin user he once warned Renton against.
His home and personal hygiene collapse.
When Renton later visits, Tommy’s flat is dark, filthy and depressing. Tommy himself is emaciated, sick and barely functional.
He contracts HIV.
The film strongly associates this with his intravenous heroin use, although it does not show the exact contaminated injection. Renton who has used heroin much longer tests negative, while the recently initiated Tommy tests positive.
He becomes a social outcast.
His doorway and walls are covered with vicious graffiti identifying him as an HIV positive junkie. He is effectively treated like contaminated human refuse.
Renton escapes while Tommy remains trapped.
Renton moves to London, becomes sober and obtains a respectable job. Tommy whose collapse Renton materially helped initiate is left behind in the Edinburgh flat, sick and addicted.
Lizzy still refuses to take him back.
Desperate to reconnect with her, Tommy buys her a kitten as a present. Lizzy rejects both the reconciliation and the kitten, leaving Tommy responsible for an animal while he cannot care for himself.
The kitten and flat are neglected.
Tommy spends his time incapacitated by heroin and downers. The kitten urinates and defecates throughout the flat because Tommy is incapable of maintaining it properly.
His compromised immune system allows toxoplasmosis to attack his brain.
Tommy develops AIDS related toxoplasmosis described as producing something like an abscess in his brain.
He responds to the headaches by taking still more drugs.
Instead of recognizing or effectively treating the neurological problem, he uses additional heroin to suppress the pain.
He suffers a stroke.
The brain infection produces catastrophic neurological damage. He is hospitalized and sent home. Great medical care over in the UK boys.
He dies alone shortly afterward.
Three weeks after leaving the hospital Tommy dies in his flat.
Nobody notices for an extended period.
His body remains there until neighbors complain about the smell and the police break down the door.
He is found face down in his own vomit.
That is the final image of a man introduced as vigorous, handsome, disciplined and morally superior to the heroin users.
The kitten survives.
The film adds this brutal punchline after recounting Tommy's horrible death- 'The kitten was fine.'
His friends immediately turn his funeral into the prelude to another heroin scheme.
After burying the one decent, drug free friend who was pulled into heroin and killed by it, the surviving group begins arranging the large heroin deal that forms the film's finale.

If @mickrussom has an idea about early IDM and 80s movies, I might supplement his loveless marriage. I'll hang out. No buttsex, though.

I used to make demo music, tracker mods, NoiseTracker, ProTracker, ScreamTracker3, FastTracker2, ImpulseTracker, ModPlug, etc. I sucked. But I liked listening to them and making crappy tracks. I need to find my floppy archive images and see if I can yank some of that stuff. A surprising amount of all that stuff found its way to Youtube. So early IDM and the rest of the early IDM, trance, techno, etc would be good.

I listen to Klaus Shulze, Phillip Glass (eg, Koyaanisqatsi soundtrack), Vangelis, Tangerine Dream/Edgar Froese, Kitaro - kind of weird stuff to most. Lots of other things too.

I like all the 1980s movies and some 90s that go dark and hard, along with the comedies and miscellany.

Any I need to add in here? We could watch that.

The movie was better in my opinion than the PKD story. They made at least one sequel too. I only ever got around to reading Sphere a few years ago and the book was way better than the movie. Have you seen A Scanner Darkly with Keanu Reeves and Woody Harrelson? That's just a couple years newer than some on that list and a much better dick adaptation. I would do a movie night at your house Mick, I'll even bring a couple joints for class.

Natural Born Killers (1994)
Poltergeist (1982)
