Steakhouses are peak boomer - Steakhouses must be destroyed

It’s very much a faggot move to say “I could make this at home”,
It's the opposite, you invert.

Trad men know how to cook because they live in the sticks, live in houses with their families, are self-sufficient, have children, served in the army, and welcome friends to their house.

Fags don't know how to cook because they live in cities, rent rooms and couches, have no children, have disposable income for ubereats, go to bars to catch AIDS, and bring strangers to their rooms to catch AIDS.

re: thread: I don't know what parallel world Truck-kun sent you to. Well-cooked meat is easier to chew than raw, this is why human teeth devolved. Steaks are a 10-20x price increase over store-bought cuts, require no specialized equipment, and are ridiculously easy and fast to cook. Steakhouse are a scam. Meat is hard to burn; I've burned rice and buckwheat, I've never burned meat.

I click on the thread, read the OP, expect to find people discussing steaks and then this post complaining about being served boot leather after asking for a steak to be annihilated into leather at a restaurant. What the fuck even.

Well done doesn't have anything to do with "burnt", and most places won't even serve it burnt. It's just fucking overcooked because you asked them to overcook it.

Back to the actual topic...

Most steakhouses are just shitty chains, and you'll get the service you can expect from a shitty chain. There are some good steakhouses that exist, and they're going to be expensive because they can price their shit that way due to the quality of cuts, people knowing how to cook a steak(and order one), as well as an atmosphere that isn't just a couple steps above a Denny's with screaming patrons, kids throwing tantrums, etc. As stereotypical as it is to point at the scene from that HBO mafia show with the guy needing to be told to take his hat off, a good steakhouse is a place where you don't need to be told to take your hat off.
Just admit you can't grill lil bro

While on the topic of boomers ruining steaks to the point of being a delivery vehicle for A1 or Heinz 57, A1 is honestly good but I don't ever use it for steak. I get the extra thick version and use it for burgers, home fries, sometimes with omelets or chicken.
Try Braswell's Vidalia Onion steak sauce. Way better than A1

Just cook your own steak it's not hard.

You can legit taste suffering (stress)* so if I want a steak I pay a little extra for a cow that was raised free range down the road in a beautiful pasture etc. And then put it in the oven and throw it on the grill for a quick reverse sear.

A steakhouse can't cook it exactly the way I like it better than I can so why would I pay a premium for it.

*may be psychological but who cares. Fuck factory farms animals don't need to suffer to be food.
Yes and no on stress, adrenaline does cause the animal to deplete glycogen and ultimately leads to a worse product across the board but modern agriculture is designed to prevent glycogen burn by not stressing the animal before death. A captive bolt stunner will cause a devastating but quick blow to the head, and the animal is still out cold when it is bled out.

A cow that has never spent a day in a feedlot (which again, are going to be monitored and designed to not induce unnecessary stress) is going to taste worse if you fuck up during slaughter.

my old boomer boss took me to one his "old friend's" steakhouses, he had ads and billboards for it all around town so i knew about it but never went in. it was the most underwhelming experience of my life, half the dining room had been gutted for renovation but they just stopped halfway through, the floors were those shitty tiles you'd see in school cafeterias, the decor was outdated and dusty and the food was dogshit. he had another friend that ran a greek restaurant that had the same problems, lots of advertising around town but the food and decor sucked. reading here about how boomers have zero taste buds it's all coming together now.

Eh maybe?
It should be noted though that even the worst steak house is generally better than the best steak at a non-steak house. With the exception of TX roadhouse, maybe.
Idk who needs to hear this but, do not buy the steak at restaurants that don't specialize in steak. It'll be just as expensive as it would at a normal steak house, but it'll be a shittier cut cooked worse than you could at your house.
WELL DONE DOES NOT MEAN BURNT OR BONE DRY. IF YOU CANNOT COOK A WELL DONE STEAK WITHOUT FUCKING IT UP DO NOT TRY.
Maybe they are punishing you for being the kind of disgusting animal who would eat a well-done steak.
Might as well just serve that shit in an ash tray and throw it in your stupid face. nigger...
