It had Surge and Kit, but with the way things are going now in both the story and the release schedule, their fall from grace might drag on for years if it even does happen. Knowing how easily influenced the comics are by social media (reddit and twitter), I'm concerned they might actually stick to forcing those two as yet another addition to the roster of Sonic clone anti-heroes.Serious question, has IDW Sonic anything going for aside the Metal Virus saga?
Retarded fanfiction crap.
Well, it had that race with a mysterious racer that... Yeah, nope. It's all filler. When you open with a goddamn robo-zombie apocalypse and then walk it back as if it never happened, you kill all potential tension.Serious question, has IDW Sonic anything going for aside the Metal Virus saga? the more i hear from those comics, the more they feel like fanfiction, if that. Even all the Echidna autism from Archie sounds more appealing than whatever IDW is doing.
Surge got mad, used a device to empower herself while suffering from PSTD as only OCs can suffer from trauma, wrecked a city while likely killing dozens of people offscreen... And I dunno how it ended, likely with a slap on the wrist. Then she and her fox brother have nothing to do as their original role has been shot.t had Surge and Kit, but with the way things are going now in both the story and the release schedule, their fall from grace might drag on for years if it even does happen. "Indie games are hip with the youth, right?" - out of touch SEGA executive
I'm gonna be optimistic and hope that they're taking their time with a new game, rather than crap it out the door for an anniversary. This feels like a desperate move an intern made at the last minute. We'll get that before a Shadow the Edge remaster, sigh.
No wonder Sega cracked the whip at the IDW comic writers, they have fuck-all to show for this anniversary, so far.
Hopefully there's a Sonic Central this month. They usually happen around this time. This feels like a desperate move an intern made at the last minute. We'll get that before a Shadow the Edge remaster, sigh.

"Many gimmicks unique to the 'SONIC' series!!"
I was a big fan of the Mega Drive version's OST, and I still am, but fuck has the Saturn OST grown on me so much over the years. I used to hate it.I'm not familiar with the Genesis version but I was one of the 20 kids that had a Sega Saturn and the "Mystic Ruins" from that version is some of my favorite Sonic music of all time, which is saying a lot.
Hey now, don't be mean to CD's level design."Many gimmicks unique to the 'SONIC' series!!"
> two springs facing each other
That "gimmick" was annoying as shit when it showed up in the early games.
I'd actually say CD was the only good implementation, since it made the poorly implemented time-travel easier to deal with.Hey now, don't be mean to CD's level design.
Smth Smth Hill Top Zone. BTW, isn't the tether mechanic done before in Knuckles Chaotix?"Many gimmicks unique to the 'SONIC' series!!"

If you mean the rubber-band thing, then yea.BTW, isn't the tether mechanic done before in Knuckles Chaotix?
I wonder if it bothers the writers thinking about the random children who don't have Twitter that are going to pick up this comic locally and not know any of this stuff. Are they frustrated knowing that people will just automatically gender this character (probably as male due to a lack of eyelashes) without even noticing the deliberate lack of gendered language? Kind of amusing, nglFor extra hilarity, the last one, the boy named Lunar or whatever, was a blatant they/them/thing whose storyline was fortunately seen by a passing Sega executive, told the writer "don't pull pedo-shit in comics for children FFS", and thus was neutered to have no pronouns at all, which is as dumb as it sounds (except for a single "they" the writer snuck in). It seems he's still butthurt about that.
