Wow, I'm really genuinely surprised that they're doing this. Guess there's nobody giving a fuck about the release date being hit on the international market or anything. The movie just got delayed to 2020.

Disney would never do a thing like this because they only care about money. The movie is still likely to suck and be a sonicsperg magnet, but I have a lot of newfound respect for the director and studio for actually listening to the audience and caring about what people actually want instead of listening to vocal minorities like angry blogs or sjw types, or not listening at all. Take notes Disney.

Sure, the Sonic movie will still suck despite probably making a shit ton of money (little kids will flock to see this), but at the least Paramount is going to great lengths to not bash the audience and give them what they want. That, to me, should be what a studio should do, be a democratic populist for the filmmakers and audiences.
I kinda want to see it just to show support for the director’s way of thinking.Even if Sonic's redesign is perfect, that will not fix the movie's awfulness.
That said, I do highly commend the director for listening to the backlash in a really mature and nice way. That almost makes me want to see it? I really don't want to see it though, lol.
I half expected them to call the critics manbabies or basement dwellers or some form of -ists. It's honestly sad that out of all movies, it's the Sonic one that actually ends up being the most reasonable and not resort to name calling the customers. Just goes to show how far up its own arse Hollywood really is.

Could always just buy a ticket and then watch something else.I think what I enjoy most about this is that nobody's getting called a troll or russianbot for disliking or criticizing something. The people in charge are acting wonderfully civil to boot. I'm almost tempted to see this piece of crap just to support this kind of attitude, but I really REALLY don't want to endure 2 hours of mediocre writing surrounded by college and basement dwelling Sonic fans of all ages acting like complete exceptional individuals, waxing nostalgia about wanting to fuck Snively or Sally fucking Acorn, flirting in fursuits or complaining about fucking arm colors...
