People actually think the new design is horrifying?
Come on just admit you wanted a scary manhog movie and are just pissed they actually made him look like Sonic.

Looks better. I'm sure kids will love it as well as the less intense Sonic spergs. And it's definitely still going to cause sperging from the more extreme Sonic spergs due to the arm color and any other reason they can find, so there will still be plenty of salt to mine.

Only thing that still bothers me is the plot. Maybe its just me, but I really hate the "familiar character from a popular franchise travels to New York City and becomes best friends with a local human couple" trope. It was a bad idea with He-Man, it was a bad idea with Smurfs, it was a bad idea with Mario Bros and it was a bad idea with every other movie that's ever tried it. Would be nice if these kinds of movies just put a little more effort into world building like that Detective Pikachu movie did, but I suppose this kind of shit is what casual test audiences go for.

Well the hedgehog doesn't look like a nightmare anymore. Movie looks obnoxious as hell but that's what kids want these days. I'm sure it will come and go like every other of its like that isn't Detective Pikachu.

No children are going to see this fucking movie. The theaters will be packed with 30-50+ year trisexual manchildren! It'll be like a Brony convention but gayer.
 
Even in the trailer you can tell they upgraded Sonic's personality as well. He was a raging douchebag in the first trailer.

It's funny that the phrase "so much better" is actually trending on Twitter right now.

I'm quick to rip apart these companies for doing stupid shit, so I will give a tentative kudos for actually listening to feedback for once. We've seen tons of other companies just say "fuck it" before, so it's actually strange to see a film listening to fan feedback like this.

Edit: Damn, I forgot just how bad the first Sonic looked. This picture doesn't even show the gloves and shoes, which are a marked improvement.

I'm glad the creators /directors of the movie listened to the critics and kept the promise .GG.

Well at least Sonic looks better.

But this looks like something cut from the same cloth as the Alvin and the Chipmunks and Smurfs movies.

Look the idea of the Sanic movie being a cinematic masterpiece of story and nuance was never one anybody had. Our only concern was whether it would be enjoyable for autist sonic fanboys and autist bad movie fanboys to watch and shit out memes for a couple months, anne frankly even though I prefer the OG design I will still probably get some bored niggas together IRL and go watch this shit. Especially since I recently found out you can get booze in theaters thus making the experience that much sweeter.
