Just like the source material! This movie's gonna suck.
Of course, it was a video game for children. The problem is that the children never grew up.Just like the source material!
(don't @ me GenX neckbeards, Sonic was never a good story)

?!

I don't think Hollywood will ever realize that Video Games don't always work in Movie sense

Your Absolutely right, I've been enjoying the trailers for it and it keeps looking better and better.<tfw fucking Pokémon may be the best video game film adaptation Hollywood will ever make![]()
It's not particularly surprising when the vast majority of vidya adaptations are just a quick buck done with little input from the owners of the IP. Sega just said "do whatever the hell you want" to this. Meanwhile, Nintendo's so overprotective of their IPs that they gave the animators directions on how Bowser should prepare his tea in Wreck-It Ralph (and I assume TPC, too, is protective of how third parties portray Pokémon as such).<tfw fucking Pokémon may be the best video game film adaptation Hollywood will ever make![]()
At least sonic doesn't suffer from pillow shading.Penders is desperate for relevance.

And its all thanks to REEEEEEEEEEEEEsetera apparently, which is so very appropriate for something so autistic as this franchise
This way is cheaper. If your CG character is only in 20% of the movie and the rest of it is just an affordable actor farting around a generic city, it’s less of a financial risk.I've always hated it when movies do that. Bayformers was really terrible in that regard; if I'm going to watch a movie about the transformers, then make it about the transformers, not the stupid humans.
Assuming this is true, then this will just make the movie all the worse for it. No one's going to a Sonic movie to watch some human protagonist, they're going into it to see Sonic.
At the very least, the end result would just be average and forgettable, instead of being the colossal trainwreck this appears to be.TBH, I think in Sega’s position, I’d have done what Nintendo did, get Illumination to do it on the cheap.
