What if Aku already knew that the sword was lost to Jack and fell into depression and withdrew from the world partly because Jack wouldn't go down in spite of it? (The other part of course being agelessness.) I mean, he knew Jack grew his beard and looked different, so he had to have spotted the sword was missing (a la Scaramouche)

I personally wanted a father-daughter relationship between Jack and Ashi, so the romantic development in this episode felt weird to me. But this is still fine.

Greg's Aku was actually really good in this episode. Pity it's the end since I feel like he could really nail it if they had another season.

Is he going to stay in the future and help rebuild the world, or will he finally return to the past and take care of Aku there as well? I know there aren't supposed to be any more time portals, but you never know, anything could happen.
