Frankly, I enjoy ship aspect of it because even before episode 8, their dynamic reminded me of my own relationship (not gonna powerlvl it). However, I really wouldn't mind if it didn't go canon, since I respect Genndy's storytelling far more than my expectation of hows story should have developed. I mean for fuck's sake I've been waiting for finale for 14 fucking years, I'm not gonna let some shipping shit ruin that anticipation.

Tumblr on another side, has gone full RRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE mode on, and it's fucking amazing. Seriously, Tumblrs obssesion with animation and ''muh representation'' just shows how Tumblr in general is shallow as a puddle of mud.

Frankly, before Samurai Bravo, I'm surprised more people didn't try to ship Jack and the Scotsman. Maybe it's because the Scotsman isn't "conventionally attractive." Although it's not like there hasn't been a plethora of female villains to hook up with. Including that one time it was Aku disguised as a woman.

And since everyone else has already said what I want to say re: Tumblr's shitstorm raining down a torrent of shit on my parade, I will only leave this:

I'm happy to get anything at all, let alone work that's actually comparable to, if not better than, the original series' quality. As someone who loves this show to death (and grew up with it when it was a thing CN actually took good care of, too!), I unfortunately feel the whole Jack and Ashi thing came rather abruptly, but hey, it's like that song plays at the end.

With that said, here's hoping the writers can handle this new development with care, so I can become more sold on it. I'm sure they will - they haven't really let me down to begin with. This show is AND continues to be just that awesome for me.

What's even more awesome - Tumblr-fucks and other social media sites freaking out because it isn't promoting some BS LGBTQ "love" like what we see done horribly wrong in Steven Universe. Seeing them get triggered over this is making for a damn good weekend so far, IMHO.
