My guess is that the next episode will deal with Scaramouche finally telling Aku now that he's :late: and the army regrouping in addition to what we saw in the preview.

Then the last two will be the final battle.

Ah shit, classic Jack is back! Can't wait for the next episode!

Am I the only one who's a bit underwhelmed by the conclusion to the mother's storyline? It was a cool scene, but after the initial hype has worn off, I'm feeling strangely unfulfilled. I wanted her to be there when Jack finally faced Aku. She should've fought Ashi at the same time as Jack fought Aku, to represent the two of them facing (and conquering) their biggest threats. I hope we at least get to learn more about her. There are so many questions that need answers.

Calling it now the Mam ain't dead

Too quick and clean, No body and fell off a tall structure all ample ingredients for her to come back
One of Ashi's sisters died without a body and she doesn't look to be coming back. Though you do have a point.

I was hoping that jack wouldn't get his sword back until the very end and aku would learn that he had lost it before then and send all of his minions after him at once.

They've been dragging their feet long enough with him not having the sword. I'm glad, 7 episodes in on a 10 episode run, that he finally has it. If the epic finale is 3 parts than great.

I feel like that'd be juggling too many subplots at once for something with a runtime of only half an hour. Jack's final showdown with Aku's gonna be extremely intense, I'd rather that conflict take center stage when it arrives because it's what we've all been waiting for.

I like how much Jack and Ashi have bonded at this point. Girl went into crazy mama bear mode protecting him against the army and her own mom. It's nice to see how far they've come.

I hope that the final episode isn't so weighty that it can't fit just 30 minutes of episode length. Part of me really wants the finale to be an hour long special to get the full experience but whatever.

Also, Jack's encounter with Aku really allowed the voice actor's replacement to shine in the brief time he had. I know some people have been giving him shit for not sounding 100% like Mako but I think he did a good job here capturing some of Aku's evil and humor.

I love that some shipping has gotten in the way that the next episode is about the guardian

Jack and Ashi are now a canon couple and Tumblr is losing its fucking mind over it because lol hetero couple. It's honestly beautiful.

tumblr. The Yaoi fangirl cest-pool of this decade.

Also, is it just me or do the latest episodes feel a bit rushed in term of plot. I liked the episode where Jack got his sword back, I was just surprised that it would take one episode only.

Very fun filler episode. I expected the venom draining sequence to go like this:

Good stuff. Laughed my ass off when Ashi lost her outfit. Now watch as she dies and Jack is reunited with either her reincarnation or in the future or afterlife.
