Ridley Scott's Napoleon - Murray, when you bring me out can you introduce me as le petit caporal?

Movie is currently sitting at 67% on Rotten Tomatoes in terms of critic reviews. Curious to see what the audience reception will be.

I'm hoping that at its worst it's an entertaining series of cliff notes. I'm gonna go in with low expectations so I'll be ok.

I’ll go see it. Knowing Ridley’s hates means he will show the other side of Napoleon- the insecure and torn side of his character. So I expect Ridley to show us the insides of Napoleon- meaning the side of him that let him attempt to take all of Europe and walk away from his own army twice.

It's not a true "modern" Ridley Scott movie without a nigger sex scene in it with the predictable propaganda pairing.
The Napoleonic era was definitely home to one of the worst blackenings in history: it's only a matter of time before Hollywood makes a film about the heroic Haitian revolutionaries reverse-buckbreaking the evil French sugar planters.

I can see it working as a movie though. In a Catcher Freeman kind of way.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't napoleon biopic considered cursed? Like you'd have to be as crazy as the actual napoleon was to even think of making one and they're just ad big a disaster as the battle of waterloo.
