So are they distancing themselves from defending lolicon
It's more complicated than that. The short answer is that they are divided between wanting to promote lolicon and wanting to oppose lolicon. It is my opinion after having looked into the matter that they both really intend to be Christians, theirs is not the case of Tectone or Jeremy Hambly, who pretend to trad Christian conservatives as a grift. However, they are in a worse state now than when they were openly gooning on Twitter according to the words of Christ: "every one that heareth these my words, and doth them not, shall be like a foolish man that built his house upon the sand, And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall thereof."
If you want to understand Louis's behavior, the stream mentioned above is the perfect example to study.
- Louis is a lolicon, so he wants to defend lolicon and is unwilling to be parted from it. To that end he made a failed attempt at motte and bailey tactics, which failed partly because his mind is divided and partly because he's retarded. The motte was supposed to be "I'm not personally invested (ie not a lolicon) but it's fucked up to call someone a predator over a work of fiction, and it's against free speech to ban loli porn". He failed to make this argument partly because he's unwilling to say he's not a lolicon, and partly because his concern is not "free speech" but actually a right to loli porn. In other words, when trying to make the motte argument, he accidentally presented the bailey, which is his belief in a right to loli porn. At the same time, when presented with an opportunity to present the bailey, he still failed, because his mind is divided towards two other ends.
- Louis is a Christian, so he doesn't like porn. This is why, when he saw someone else defending lolicon, his first reaction was to say that looking at porn is a sin of lust. But, again, Louis is divided, he doesn't like leaving it simply at that because he isn't willing to be parted from lolicon. There are two reasons why Louis fails to be a Christian, one external and another internal. In the first place, he isn't learning the authentic doctrine of Christ, "How then shall they call on him, in whom they have not believed? Or how shall they believe him, of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear, without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they be sent, as it is written: How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, of them that bring glad tidings of good things! But all do not obey the gospel." How absurd it is that a man who calls himself a follower of Christ should say "people should have the choice to consume whatever adult content they want." Louis has heard the words "Christ is king," but he has never heard that when we say these words we confess the necessity to restore all things in Christ. In fact, more than that, Louis's opinion ought to highlight the absurdity of the doctrine of permitting liberty of conscience to all, after all, he is literally claiming that people should have the choice to watch child porn. The second reason is that Louis does not desire Christ enough to abandon the way of the world "No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one, and love the other: or he will sustain the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Giving up lolicon is too painful for Louis to accept.
- Louis wants to agree with his wife. When Louis is unhappy with his answer about porn and lolicon, he turns to his wife for guidance. When he sees that she has blunted her criticism from a spirit of false mercy, he thinks he ought to follow her opinion.
As for Strawb, it's pretty clear that she is very weak in reason, and is very affected by a desire to be soft, both on herself and everyone else. She refuses to believe that she's done horrible things, and wants to blunt them as being either acceptable, or at most immoderate. As I pointed out, she claimed that she doesn't use a loli model, but she clearly was trying to appeal to lolicons with that "tummy day" video. Similarly, here she is claiming that
"i didn’t make porn, but i posted flirty asmr audios and did commission some nsfw art of my character in the past."

This is a pretty crazy amount of downplaying. Sure, she never did hardcore pornography, but that tummy day video she did absolutely was pornographic. Furthermore, she admits to commissioning "
some nsfw art of my character" which is just a polite euphemism for porn. Furthermore, as noted, she commissioned her model to have a tattoo on the pubic mound, and there's only one reason she would have done that, or in other words it's very likely she commissioned a model with more detail under the pants to keep her options open in the future. Then she characterizes her asmr as "flirty" when in reality it's almost entirely gfe (girlfriend experience). Furthermore, she posted exclusive ear licking videos to her patreon, which is porn.
On the same topic, when she's talking to someone defending porn, she expresses herself by implying that porn is okay in moderation, but once the person saying it passes from her mind, she speaks openly.

He's correct, Louis and Strawb will eventually need to choose either lolicon or Christianity, although I doubt that's going to go in Louis's favor.
