Growth
The size of the Kiwi Farms has not increased at all since the end of Drop Kiwi Farms.

Dunno. That's all I have to say.

Thinking back to how I even heard of KF and why I actually took the time out to sign up, it was during the summer of love and I wanted to talk about the Chauvin or Rittenhouse trials and there was just no where that wasn't moderated to the point of lying except for KF, and 4chan, which is where I probably heard about this site, was practically unusable.

Nowadays since Elon bought Twitter, a lot of potential users are likely sticking with that instead of being forced to find a like minded community.

Maybe positioning yourself more to the tech community on Twitter, talking about what you have accomplished and who you battled and what you did to keep this site up might attract some new audience, especially with DHH (Ruby on Rails/Omarchy creator) being a hot topic atm.

Has the size been stable or has it been dropping? I assume by size you mean the number of active members. Steady is better than dropping, in that case.

I like the change but I think it would be nice to have a better filtering/tagging system so certain threads are easier to ignore.
And/or expand the sub-forum categories to separate stuff community related threads gorlworld/stinkditch/furries/etc.
Other suggestion: Make a category that would highlight threads nominated for lolcow of the year!

I think change is good. Sometimes having too many specific boards leads to primo-autism and hyperfixation without enjoying other areas of the site. It’s nice to relearn that in a manner of speaking.

The whole "which thread goes in which forum?" question makes me wish it was possible to have a single thread exist in multiple boards at the same time - it'd be cool to be in the mood to seek content of a certain type, and find a single thread relevant to multiple boards in all of those boards, rather than having to guess and pick and choose and split hairs about which one it's most likely to be found in.

But on the other hand, that's just sort of an abstract tagging system at that point, which would also be kinda cool, rather than having to struggle against the tide of lolcows of many different flavors fighting for the first page in a board forced to contain all of them.

Edit: I guess the filters feature, which I'd been blind to up to this point, probably solves for this. If it does, ignore what I was saying.

I am mobilefagging right now so this might have been brought up already, but by merging so many forums into one I feel like some threads will get lost? I know you preserved prefixes on threads that had them, but not all threads had them.

Instead of longer prefixes like full words, how about having mods or volunteers (and creators of new threads from here on out) adopt a structured icon based system? The tranny furfag streamer mentioned in your OP could have a trans flag, fox, and TV icon to represent what he is known for.. That way at a glance it's part of the thread title. It preserves the "original" category of the thread while allowing it to be placed in the larger consolidated section.

Edit: Every thread actually has its own prefix now. I swear it was not doing this earlier, I must have caught it mid transition. Nevermind. :)

Última edición:
I think it looks a lot cleaner this way.

On the other hand I can be incredibly lazy myself with browsing, so.
