I don't think there is a harder video of Chris's to watch then this one. The way he is just completely blissfully unaware his parents are just totally done with raising a man child and how visibly depressed they are. It's almost like you can tell they've accepted Chris will never grow into a functioning adult and this is going to be their lives until they die and it totally crushed them. It's so fascinating on so many levels. I also have only managed to sit through it once but it's etched into my mind.

The way he is just completely blissfully unaware his parents are just totally done with raising a man child and how visibly depressed they are. The chip wasting comment reminds me of an old coworker I once had, I'll call her Beth. She was in her late 70s. She had been married multiple times because she kept outliving her husbands. The last one was some old guy who lived in the woods, and apparently never had his photograph taken until the 2000s, aside from drivers license photos, when my coworker bought a digital camera. Beth didn't know how to get her photos off the camera and printed out, so she would look at them on the camera's screen, and she would simply buy a new SD card when the one in her camera filled up.

So Bigfoot died of old age, and Beth's schizophrenic son wanted to look at the photos. He "did something" and all the photos from all the SD cards got magically deleted. They found his driver's license though so they blew that up and displayed it at his funeral.

When I heard about this I offered to attempt to recover the photos. I used PhotoRec and got most of them back. Beth bought me a cake.

I doubt Bob was as bad with technology as my coworker and her son. But I think there was an odd hangup with older generations and the move from film to digital photos. I have relatives who don't seem to understand you can just take the card to the same place you'd take film to be developed.

In case anyone is wondering, Beth's son soon moved to Georgia for some bizarre reason. He was gone for a couple months, during which time he claimed to have got a job and a wife and they had a kid together. He moved back in with Beth after that though, because the wife and kid just randomly died. No photos or anything. Things must move fast in Georgia.

This is pretty funny. I more so found it incredibly sad that Bob didn't think filming Christmas morning was worth the tiny space it took on Chris's camcorder. Christmas was so shitty and so sad it wasn't even worth filming to his own dad.

I understand the housing situation, or at least what is speculated about it, but who is helping with the website and etsy store? Also, who is making sure he doesn't dox them? Is someone reviewing his videos before they are uploaded? This effort was probably worth it when he first got out of jail and they could capitalize on his infamy, but it seems most people don't pay attention to him any more. That Christmas video is fascinating to me. I believe Chris lacks theory of mind. He doesn't really grasp that others might like things different than he does. That's why the gifts that he got Barb were the sorts of things that he himself would want to receive. But for Bob, even IF Chris thought that Bob would enjoy watching Fraggle Rock, why on earth would he feel the need to buy the exact same show in both VHS and DVD formats?

I agree that 2008 CWC wouldn't set out to rape someone, but seeing how he struggled to understand boundaries, he could have easily found himself stumbling into some form of sexual assault. The girl would undoubtedly put a stop to it before things got to full-on rape, physically overpowering Chris if it came down to it (Chris was notoriously out of shape back then, so even a woman smaller than him would be able to fight him off or at least run away).
