I don't know who this originates from, but I remember it really resonating with me when I first heard it.

This quote always pops into my mind when I find myself at a crossroads in life. I don't interpret it in a nihilistic 'you're fucked no matter what you do' sense, but rather that there will always be positive and negative consequences to my decisions--and those consequences, no matter the impact on my life, will inevitably bring about pangs of the 'how would have things been different if i did x, y, or z instead' regret. In other words, it makes me ask, "Within reason, what can I do to minimize the frustrations/ennui/etc. that come with making difficult, life-altering decisions?"
