So all the other survivors except possibly one who offends her for some reason, are all uninteresting dumbasses who are all for the hivemind and can't wait or don't care if they join it, and for all intents and purposes can be considered a part of it already? Seems like a tall order if this is going to be literal strict two character series and there are no other interesting existing characters or forces with their own motivations.

The third episode was ass and the grenade sequence was so forced because she said that odd expression about a grenade and they actually brought her a grenade and she actually pulled the pin she might be dumber than them

Why is she still not understanding the situation and acting so shocked about it

The show is promising but I hope she changes her attitude instead of screaming every 5 seconds also why doesn’t she mention other family or friends is that girl the only person she knew in the entire world

The part I hated the most was when they gathered her packages and you would think she will receive something special instead it was an ad/product placement for a massage gun at least it wasn't turned into a full ad with the hive giving her a massage with it
 
Ruh roh. Looks like Karen's lesbianism and fight against le forces of homophobia are shaping up to be major explicit themes. Not that there aren't unique and subversive ways to handle this topic that would make things interesting and haven't been done a million times already. But not sure if we can be confident about this with the other signs of the direction the show is taking. How many episodes till she's banging the pirate lady do you wager?

Goes to one of the coolest hotels on earth with a stunning view of one of the most beautiful astronomical phenomenons imaginable and pouts the entire time. This is the main character we're supposed to enjoy watching.

You could at least make the best of a bad situation like the Mauritanian guy. "Ok, give me and entourage with the best and purest drugs, a doctor to monitor me, a harem of the most beautiful women on earth, and let's do a tour of the best aspects of every country on earth."
 
The hivemind species is obviously lying. There is a puppet master behind the "system", if you will. Because, given the thoughts of every human on Earth put together, the main character would never have been gifted a grenade, let alone a nuclear weapon. It's just a parasite, fattening up the masses.

Did you notice that most of the other people on Earth that she's met during the show are from places in the World where a great collective that is everything is part of the cultural and religious norm? Of course, they have no problem with joining some mass system of souls and minds. Only the American values the independence of the individual mind. And she's right, but she's insufferable.

It can't lie because it is not human. It is not able to comprehend negative emotions and suffers a global stroke when in presence of those emotions. Its victims are unable to express negative emotions and will do anything to ensure that the uninfected do not express negative emotions.

I saw a comment elsewhere that the hypothetical end goal of this virus is to utilize all of Earth's resources to replicate the same signal humans received, as the virus is compelled to ensure everyone is linked in its state of bliss. I would go further and say that once said signal is replicated, the virus is content to just let all human hosts die off through natural decay. What reason would this virus have to reproduce hosts outside of the need for a specific task?

It's just the way the virus has programmed it, no need for a controlling intelligence: Its first priority is to infect all members of intelligent species, no matter what. Its secondary priority is to do what's best for every other individual lifeform, no matter how harmful that is to itself, except where it conflicts with priority 1. I'm sure there'll be other stuff that comes out as the series progresses, but those two alone are enough to show the virus is a bioweapon designed to eliminate intelligent species.

For example: Just being unable to deliberately kill anything is going result in billions of deaths very quickly. Can't use pesticides, which is going to mean massive crop failures. Can't use any modern harvesting technology, because it kills wildlife on a massive scale. All the existing livestock? Can't kill them, can't just let them die, have to keep feeding and caring for them all even though you can no longer eat them. Probably can't even keep livestock confined as that would interfere with their agency. No more exterminators, so massive boom in rat populations going after stored food.
Agriculture is only viable if you're willing to kill other animals at some point, otherwise you're going to starve while out of control herbivore populations eat your crops. On top of that, increased herbivore populations will also increase the predator populations, which you now can't defend yourself from. (All of this is also why veganism is fucking retarded, FYI.)

The hivemind's population is going to get downsized really fucking quickly, and as that happens all the societal, industrial and technological systems are going to start to fail due to lack of manpower to keep it all going. Once that happens, what's left of the hivemind is soon reduced to a nomadic subsistence lifestyle and not long after totally extinct.

I'd be careful trying to get a worldview out of this show. You could just as much say that Carol represents selfish/excessive individualism who stands in the way of perfect utopia.
No, I don't believe that, but this show isn't that deep for those type of discussions.
 
She was an alcoholic smut writer the fantasy werewolves rape type and now she is acting like she is the most intelligent person on earth and she will be able to save humanity do that she can go back to the job she hates , she also only cared about her wife so what’s does she gain from saving the world

I like the theory that they are like a bee hive and the 12 individuals are like quees that the hive needs to please

I appreciate the new idea of aliens being like obedient servants I know this is still new so I will judge later if the alien species is boring or cool and innovative I don’t think their purpose is to enslave humanity just to please 12 people or enslave the entire human race without a specific goal they are already managing resources so that means they have a bigger goal
 
Theory: did you like Better Caul Saul because you thought "Chicanery" was the peak of television? You'll like Pluribus. Did you like Better Call Saul because of the cartel subplot or prefer Breaking Bad entirely? You'll probably not like Pluribus. I wouldn't say it's "slow burn" because it's moving faster than a lot of mystery type shows, but you'll need to appreciate the humor in watching a drone wrap around a light pole and destroy itself because Carol didn't weigh her trash as requested versus wanting to watch shit blow up or a bunch of people get gunned down in the desert by Mike Ehrmantraut. I like both type of shows but this is squarely the former.
