Ironically, the Disney elements in 3 interact more with the original content than in any other KH game. There's Toy Story and Monster's Inc. as the obvious ones, but Pirates is a big one too.

The Unversed are so underrated. I hate their Shonen Retarded origin so fucking much!!!!!!!! They should have been the the Emotions from the 13 Darkness's & the Proto Heartless, negative Emotion given a form to corrupt Hearts to give birth to the Pureblood, and not basicly the Emotion from Roxas 2's evil Side who got sperated from Inverse Netanyahu!
I'm also actually mad that we don't get the Nobodies from Vexen, Zexion & Lexaeus! Just why we don't get them complette?
Honestly surprised 10% of people beat KH1 on Proud. I'd give it a shot myself but whenever I watch videos, every boss is borderline cheesed. There really is no way to properly learn these fights it seems, especially the secret bosses. You just eat damage all day and hope you can outheal it.

Thats actually low, i thought the number would be higher.
Idk if this is a hot take but KH games tend to be "easy" even in higher difficulties(proud and Critical) as long as you already played the game once and are familiar with its mechanics and enemies.
Regarding KH1 Proud is doable without cheesing, the only ethical cheesing imo is the Stopga + Gravity for dragon maleficent because fuck that bitch. Other than that ive played Proud normally since Block, Aero and parrying exist. Soaking dmg is a retarded strat that highlights just how bad and unable to engage with the game a player is. Mind you im not like the greatest KH player in existence but the higher difficulties in KH are more of a test of knowledge of the game rather than perfect gameplay where you dodge and parry everything.

They actually addressed/retconed this. Vanitas isn't the evil half of Ven's soul/heart. He's a completely separate evil that hitched a ride inside him and ended up stealing Soras face when he shared a piece of his soul/heart to repair ven.
Vanitas is one of the 13 original darknesses. And by the time he arrives in BBS is the last active one.
Once mortal, they shed their identities to become a immortal sentient darkness. Presumed to be the origin of the heartless. They are a formless, intelligent, corruptive, sadistic evil. Not especially angry or spiteful, but they don't understand humanity or concepts of basic decency. Cruelty is a curiosity for them.
They need to possess people to survive, spread and maintain a sense of self.
The MOM's been fighting them since before the events of the series. His entire goal is to take them out. Noble.... Except he has to use other people as possessed bait to get them contained/destroyed. (Including himself interestingly enough)
7 of the darknesses are contained within the MOM and his forteller apprentices. 4 were trapped inside a makeshift prison and wasted away. The fate of the 12th darkness is a bit murky. I assumed it was behind the keyblade school shooting and was destroyed by young xehanort but that might have been just a piece of it.
The MOM was able to lock down and trap the darknesses because most if not all of them mindlessly believed the book of prophecy as true when the reality was it was a trap ( among other things) to make them predictable and steer them exactly where the MOM wanted them. It's why Vanitas played along with xehanort and played the part of a goon.
In any case vanitas is the only remaining one openly doing anything. You can bet your ass he's coming back for 4.

Unless im missing context, wasnt there one of the og darknesses near the end of unchained X? That was just a shadow silhouette?
I do like the idea of the og darkness entities that were introduced in the mobile game and in a way it makes it almost Lovecraftian. If Nomura was smart he would make a dlc/spin off game following the origins of MoM(after 4 ends) just so we get more context. I genuinely think KH4 will either make or break the serie.

I find it interesting that he's rarely angry unless someone appears to go off script and not take him at face value. Besides Xehanort asking his name after he said it doesn't matter and being forced to repeat himself to Aced he seems quite calm and collected. I'm not sure vengeance truly is his end goal, as the darkness refers to him as an old friend.
KH4 is going to be Nomura unchained. Because at the end of the day he's going to make Versus come alive through it. I don't know what form it will take, but he's going to take Sora and put him in this dark ass copy of the reality he intended and have him navigate it.
And the irony is this is something he's wanted to do in some form from the beginning.
It's interesting because the way Remind ended, you could tell he wanted to shaft Sora. He wanted to do it and make a spinoff game. But he pulled back from the brink following fan concern and realized he could have his cake and eat it.
He'll respect Sora and give him a proper game, but he's going to go though hell.

KH needs an reboot with the full Story already planned. They need an Tim Burton X 1910s Aesthetic, the Disney stories & Characters needs to be recreated so they don't look like Disney's Copyright ( like Disney did with Grim & other Tails) or handled like "Unce Upon a Time". Michael, Donlad & Goofy are like imaginary friends, given life by Sora's Heart. (Trauma Cope Meta). Without Retcons, the Series would be High Tier Stuff, but no. We got an Japanese, obessed with Korny Anime Shit

Consider that if they remake it, they will add modern day shit disney(which is horrible) and you just know they will push faggotry into the story in one way or the other. Also consider the KH is co-owned by disney so they wont like legally distinct characters that may create conflict of interest. At this rate if everything goes to shit, they are better off making a complete new game thats heavily inspired by KH but instead of disney we get SE ips and/or other jrpgs. Imagine Legally distinct Sora ending up in something like Blue Dragon or Dragon Quest, i would pay for that.
