And it seems like the opposite of white supremacy would be the reaction. This is usually what happens when you got Group A and Group B hating on each other but then Group C shows up. She's not jealous of Doug Walker, but she does hate that she has a tie to him as the Nostalgia Chick that she can never shake because, surprise, a big chunk of her fanbase came from those days and many of her diehard fans are fans of all her content, including those videos. The problem is that, as mentioned above, she wanted to transition into something bigger and better, but just doesn't have the talent, intelligence, or work ethic to be the kind of high minded creative she believes she should be.

Her books read like a polished second draft, not a finished manuscript. Her video essays are entertaining and have some insights, but nothing too deep and she keeps focusing on juvenile subjects like Disney because it's easier than researching films with more depth. And she's never attempted to make an original project on her own because she believes she's above low budget, but can't convince a studio to give her a shot because they know she's a lazy alcoholic. She's a level above the others on Channel Awesome, but she's not much higher than them.

It's still kino how Cinema Snob made the only watchable movie out of that entire lot because his love of film is genuine.

Also he doesn't take himself super seriously and is happy to do what amounts to a feature length home movie with his friends even at 40. The others need their movies to have more money than they can afford behind them. I'm pretty sure that's why Lindsay never tried to kickstart anything, she probably thinks she deserves to make a $100 million blockbuster right out the gate.

Worked for Doug Walker and Moviebob, both of whom Lindsay tried to cancel and failed doing so. Doug because he didn't let it bother him, Bob because he was too dumb to know what was going on.
