I remember enjoying The Suicide Squad but in retrospect that movie was carried hard by John Cena.Gunn fans became insufferable after Gunn had made his knock-off of Ayers' Suicide Squad movie and damn near everyone thought it was the best thing put to screen.
Probably R-Pats.Lol, is is Tom Holland? Little Pooner? Hathaway? Take your bets.
Hathaway to Twilight guy (now I remember it's Robert Pattinson).Lol, is is Tom Holland? Little Pooner? Hathaway? Take your bets.

It's not a deconstruction. It's a simulation. At three hours long and filled with incomprehensible nonsense, Nolan is conveying to you exactly how Ulysses himself felt. The real odyssey, is the film you watch along the way.MovieBob gets it: Nolan's Odyessy is meant to be a deconstruction!!!
There are only like 31 true 70mm IMAX screens (Nolan's weird obsession, less than half of which are in the US) around the world. The rest are varying sizes of screens bigger than normal theaters with slightly better compressed digital quality, about 1800 in 90 countries. Two of the London IMAX screens are 70mm, Waterloo and South Kensington. Normies really don't care/know the difference so the brand is basically an advertising ploy to upcharge, outside of diehard cinephiles who will seek out the 70mm screens the same way vinyl record autists do. But yes, the front rows are always the last to book with the screens being so big and exacerbating the normal theater neck syndrome you get. I've only ever been to one once and have never wanted to go back. Are IMAX cinemas that common outside of the United States?
Deconstruction is a magical word that you can just say and no one gets to call you an idiot when you disappoint them. Same with satire.MovieBob gets it: Nolan's Odyessy is meant to be a deconstruction!!!

There is an insanely high quality post about IMAX in this thread i believe. If you find it, read it. It's really good.Maybe I'm wrong and IMAX is great - happy to be told otherwise. But I think I'd feel like Alex in that scene from A Clockwork Orange.
We discuss it on the DC thread.Everybody hates the Snyderverse, but nobody ever discusses the Gunn-verse because there is nothing there to discuss. It's empty, shallow, and inconsequential.
Anyone actually seeing it in IMAX is going to require a week in traction to recover from 3+ hours sat with their neck craned back enough to see the cruise liner sized screen.IMAX screens selling out while regular screens aren't in this economy sounds suspicious to me (are there even Odyssey popcorn buckets to begin with?). Gives me Captain Marvel vibes in how the ticket sales didn't match up with actual butts in seats. Anyone who's actually seeing it in IMAX needs to report back the audience numbers to quash that notion.
I still don't understand what was. They put the movies' names together, and now you have to watch both of them or something? (I did not watch either one)Also, Oppenheimer was really carried by the whole "Barbenheimer" hype.
Nah. It was a funny joke online that spilled into real life. They were both showing the same week. Thanks to some crossover memes it increased sales for both but neither plot was what I'd call a fun popcorn flick.I still don't understand what was. They put the movies' names together, and now you have to watch both of them or something? (I did not watch either one)

Russians are definitely niggers and this would be hilarious.I can't wait to be told that Russians in the 1800s were mostly black IRL.

It was just very effective marketing - you had the Barbie movie which was light, fun and appealed to kids and females and then the "serious" movie Oppenheimer which was for adults and men wanting to something meatier. There's nothing really out at the moment that Odyssey can latch onto (though I guess Deadline is trying to pair it with the Spiderman movie since Zendaya and Holland star in both).I still don't understand what was. They put the movies' names together, and now you have to watch both of them or something? (I did not watch either one)
