The trailer is getting a lot of views still, especially compared to the recent long-running franchise installments like Grogu and Supergirl. I predict it will "reach a billion".

The movie is currently tracking with a 100 million dollar opening weekend in America. No idea internationally. It has a clean second weekend. Its going to hit a brick wall when Spiderman comes out the weekend after. This is also the most expensive R rated movie ever made at 250 million in just production costs.

To have good word of mouth basically requires NPCs to be able to persuade everyone else that she's the most beautiful woman they've ever seen, rap is totally cool and not distracting, Elliot Page to be shoved into the background and not do anything, and the dialogue actually carry gravitas, which I'm not getting out of "LETS GO!!!!!!" It ain't no "If you live long enough, you become the villain."

The biggest red flag is probably Christopher Nolans inability to conceptualize the idea that the Trojans would have seen the horse as a gift/offering after a long war and instead had to have it be stuck in the mud, Just overthinking something to the point it becomes retarded, true mid-wit behavior. It's 'beware of Greeks bearing gifts' not beware of Greeks leaving something behind accidentally that you then steal.

At least 300 is a fun and entertaining action film and that was all it was trying to be. I saw it in a packed theater with a bunch of friends and the whole theater had a blast, so it did its job.

I also think it will be number 1 its second weekend and get at least 50 million that weekend. For it to beat that the word of mouth needs to be good.

Its dead in the water 3rd weekend. Its helped by the fact that it gets Imax and Spider Man doesnt, but its dead.

Also this has a minimum of 150 million marketing spend and it may even be over 200 million. This movie needs to clear 800 million and a critical mass of that money needs to be domestic.

Honestly while I have no interest in it from talking to people I think Spider-Man is going to over preform and since the internation market loves Spider-Man that will kill its long term proformance.
