Is there a way of making money from having a shit load of HDD space? If so, how much would I need?
If not, what can I do with 24+TB of space?

Should I buy a server rack and fill it with HDDs? Any suggestions around what to do with loads of space and how to utilise a load of HDD's would be appreciated.

There was (is?) a cryptocurrency called Chia that worked by using HD space. Maybe you can burn those drives out in exchange for some sub-sub-shitcoin returns.

Or you know, just sell the drives themselves on Ebay after wiping them thoroughly.

The hard drive should be in the battery compartment. It's very simple to remove. Easiest thing to do would be to take the hard drive out, get a 2.5" enclosure on Amazon for ~$10 and plug it into a newer machine to get the stuff off it. You might need some extra software if your current machine runs windows and the hard drive is in the old Mac OS extended format. You might also run into problems if it's been encrypted, however IIRC that wasn't the default with Macbooks from that era.

For Windows, is there a recommended way of mirroring your C: drive to make backing up after catastrophic hardware failure a little easier? I've got a Windows machine with a bunch of old licensed software on it but the SSD may be on its last legs and I don't want to chance it.

Veeam has a free community tier, it is a fantastic backup utility IMO.

I have an issue (apologies if it been addressed but I didn't find it) on my PC with a a Linux Mint 21 HD and a second Win 7 drive. Scheduling the pc to sleep via power management doesn't work if a movie is playing either on a browser or media player. Is there a fix for this or do I need to run a bash script every time?
